Excellent property - Beautiful views

  • 5 of 5

This property is clean, comfortable, and relaxing. The views are beautiful, and the property is private enough that you feel you are really away from "it all". Bill was great to deal with - he was extremely accommodating, and very friendly. I'm already checking my calendar to see when I can return next year.

Fantastic Cabin/Great Location

  • 5 of 5

We couldnt have been happier with our stay. The owner thought of every little thing you may need during you stay and had two or three on hand. In our opinion, the cabin is positioned on the best part of the pond. It was perfect.

Great stay, once again!

  • 5 of 5

This was the 2nd time my friends and I stayed at Bill's lake house. We had such a great time the year before, that some of our lifelong friends flew across the country to join us this time!

Like other reviews have said, the house has it all and the owners have really thought of everything. It's really a great place to get away from the "city life" and enjoy living cellphone free for a little bit. We were lucky enough to enjoy the meteor shower while we were there too -- great place for star gazing!

Can't wait to return, thanks again Bill!

Postcard comes to life!

  • 5 of 5

Our family spent two weeks at this fabulous location for a family reunion. The weather was fantastic and despite two rainy days where we chose to play board games and sit in the hot tub. The house is outfitted with anything you could possibly need from kitchen supplies, tons of towels, cozy bedding, bug spray, sunscreen, kayaks, a canoe and floating lounge chairs.

We hiked the Buck's Ledge trail which is located 1/4 mile from the house. An easy hike with a spectacular view from the ledge over to Mt. Abram ski resort. We were lucky enough to see some Peregrine Falcons at the top.

While spending time in the lake, Bald Eagles soared over head and ducklings swam by as we floated in the lounge chairs tied to the dock.

Pack your bathing suit and your toothbrush and it is all you will need in this immaculate home.

Perfectly Amazing

  • 4 of 5

This lake house was a perfect fit for our family ages 4 - 75. Plenty of bedrooms and beds for our different needs. In our 12 years of staying in VRBO rentals in the summer all across America, we all came to an unanimous decision that this lake house by far has the best view and the best amenities. There was something for everyone. Here are a few things we enjoyed: the firepit, the kayaks (with life vests in all sizes), the hot tub, the board games, plenty of towels, plenty of dishes, the playground next door, the grill, and the absolutely amazing view of the lake from the deck. This place is perfect for families with children. Being able to watch them play in the lake and learn how to kayak was fabulous. There is even a play station although we didn't use it much. The owner of this house has thought of everything; sunblock, bug spray, sample shampoos and soaps, camp chairs, small selection of oils, vinegar, spices, and coffee in the pantry. We enjoyed many things to do around the area. L.L. Bean Discovery School archery class at Sunday River ski hotel 15 minutes away was a huge hit with our older kids. There are plenty of hiking trails around. About 30 minutes away runs the Appalachian Trail. All of us enjoyed hiking a small portion it, even in the misty rain. Our week at this lake house couldn't have been better. It did rain a few times but didn't stop us from hunkering down and enjoying the storm move across the lake. There is a train that runs very close to the house but it didn't really bother us much. We would most definitely come here again or recommend this lake house highly. Thank you, Bill, for a fantastic vacation home!

There is a wood stove and plenty of seasoned wood. We have 3 TVs with satellite. The kitchen is all new. The bathrooms are new. Rustic maple hardwood floors, new tile floors in the kitchen and main level bathroom, new appliances and counter top, and fresh paint throughout make this more of a home than a cabin. Walk down the driveway and across the road to the lake. Next door is a nice playground with swings and jungle gyms. New hot tub fall 2006
