About Bob Tonning
I am a Rhode Island native, born and raised in nearby Warwick. Our family has been in Rhode Island for nearly 50 years, and Providence is one of the great American cities.
Bob Tonning purchased this Apartment in 2010
Why Bob Tonning chose Ward 13
We purchased this property in 2010, and completed a full rehab of this unit in 2018. It is set in a quiet neighborhood, yet conveniently located to many downtown and area attractions.
What makes this Apartment unique
Two off-street parking spots are almost unheard-of in the city... And for the cult followers of Fox's "Arrested Development" TV series, we have many pleasant surprises waiting for you!

Clean, great location
Clean, nice living space and brand new kitchen. Convenient location. I’d stay here again.
All of the amenities
This property had everything we needed, and the property owner was responsive.
Excellent stay in Federal Hill
The apt. was spotless and nicely furnished with plenty of towels and hangers. And it is perfectly situated for good restaurants and 3 public buses. Bob responded to our questions immediately. My only advice is that, if you’d like to read in bed, bring a book light.
Close to Brown University
This was just what we needed to get our daughter settled in to Brown. Close to shops to get our last minute items for the dorm. Very clean, theme decorations were enjoyable and the kitchen had everything we needed. It was great to have off street parking. Bakery down the street was convenient and delicious.
Perfect stay in Federal Hill
We were surprised at how spacious, comfortable and well decorated the apartment was. The owners did a lovely job with the recent remodel. In addition, we could not get enough of the amazing restaurants in the neighborhood that were all within walking distance. To name a few, Broadway Bistro, Nick's on Broadway, Bucktown, Grange, Pastiche and Seven Stars Bakery for sweets. And the neighborhood was also relaxed and calm which made for a laid back home base. We just could not recommend the apartment more highly, it was perfect.
PASSED THE WHITE GLOVE TEST AND THEN SOME!!!!
This is one of the cleanest properties we have ever stayed in. Very roomy, completely updated and all the furniture is extremely comfortable--including the beds. Off street parking was great, but after the first day we just parked on the street in front of the apartment.
Location is perfect just a 10 minute walk to Atwells Ave where you will find yummy restaurants, bakeries and specialty shops to fit anyone's desire. Only a 10 minute drive to downtown, don't miss the Rhode Island State House tour-free and on the hour, beautiful building if architecture is you thing.
We would recommend this property to family and friends.
TIP: bring ear-plugs, the tenants (a younger couple) that live on the second floor have the heaviest feet we have ever heard, and they love to slam doors. If you can look past this then this is a great little find.
