The Perfect Place if Remote is your Style

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was wonderful. If you are looking to get away from it all, this is the place for you. It was beautiful, the nearby stream was gorgeous, the and hot tub was a treat. It is a great place to reconnect with family or read or any other quiet activity. The gravel road along the stream makes a great place for a long walk.

It is about 30-35 minutes to the nearest town with a full-size grocery store and other comforts, so prepare for a good amount of driving if you need to leave the cabin for just about anything.

It was perfect for us though and I would highly recommend it!

Nice cabin away from everything

  • 4 of 5

The cabin was far deep in the woods, 20 or more minutes from the town and any stores, which was nice and we knew it at the time of booking. You have all you need at the cabin, nice big bedroom with super soft sheets and comfortable mattresses. The living space is big and we where 5 adults and a 2 year old.The hot tub and charcoal grill was a nice treat, make sure to bring your charcoal before leaving town as well as your beer and wine, NO Alcohol in this county.

Other then some cobwebs in some rooms and dust build up above the ceiling fans on the open beam ceilings, it was clean.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your informative review. Yes, all room ceilings are tall with beamed ceilings and some are over 20 feet off of the floor and difficult to reach. Ceiling fans have since been cleaned, thank you for bringing this to our attention and glad you had a good time. Brad

Beautiful cabin for a relaxing get-away!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 5 thoroughly enjoyed this cabin for our spring break. It was fun to explore the area and we enjoyed coming "home" and relaxing in the hot tub and making s'mores by the camp fire. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. The kids area was upstairs where they slept, hung out and watched movies. We played games at the kitchen table and read by the fireplace. The beds were very comfy! The owners were very easy to deal with. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for some rest and relaxation in the most beautiful surroundings.

Peaceful mountain getaway - Loved it!

  • 5 of 5

I wondered why previous reviewers talked about Brad and Ginger. Now I know. They are SO nice! They really do care that you have an enjoyable experience in their cabin. Not to mention the cabin itself has everything you need and is nestled in the mountains away from it all. We stayed there with my family and had the best time. We hiked the surrounding area, relaxed in the hot tub, and played games. The beds were comfortable, kitchen had all the tools you'd need, and rocking chair front porch was amazing. Thanks Brad and Ginger. We'll be back.

Breathtaking Setting! Perfect Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

Where do I begin? The property was better than expected, and the personable owners went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. The cabin was spacious, clean and absolutely charming. There was plenty of room for our family of 7. The kids loved having their own space upstairs, and the porch and hot tub were my own favorite spots. We received a great surprise toward the end of our week...SNOW! LOTS OF SNOW! Winter Storm Helena made her appearance in full form and our kids had never experienced anything like that. We made makeshift sleds and slid down the driveway, built a snowman, made snow angels...all of the things that Floridians only see in movies! It was the best time! I took so many photos that I wish I could share! Even without the snow, though, it would've been just as wonderful. If you're looking to truly get away from it all, this is the place. Hiking, fishing, painting, photography, puzzles, grilling, s'mores, reading, movies, baking, card games, music, relaxing...we fit it all that in, and then some! Thanks to Brad and Ginger for being such gracious hosts! We truly enjoyed our stay and made memories that will last us a lifetime!

Hopkins family

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful place for a family vacation. We had such a great time enjoying the beautiful cabin and the woods surrounding. We picked blackberries and made a blackberry cobbler. We spent hours walking up and down the running creek at the bottom of the hill. Birds were at the feeder every morning. Our trips into town were fun and we met lots of local folks at the one and only grocery store, Ingles. We went horseback riding at Lonesome Dove and spent a day white water rafting at the NOC. If you are looking for a little peace and quite with lots of options for fun activities, this adorable cabin is for you! And upon your arrival, don't forget to the check the cookie jar for some delicious homemade cookies!
