Excellent place to forget the world outside
- Excellent location and views, very close to nature
- Perfect starting point for hiking and bicycle tours in the beautiful surrounding area, our dog enjoyed exploring it very much as well
- Nicely renovated modern place with every equipment for even longer stays
- If needed, good connection to nearby small towns (less than 10 minutes drive for all sorts of grocery shopping) and to back to the usual civilization (20-30 minutes drive to bigger cities with everything else and the highway)
- Highly recommended for "disconnecting" from the everyday hassles
Peaceful with stunning views
Beautiful decor and really nicely furnished. One of the nicest, most well equipped gîtes we have stayed in since we started holidaying in France, 6/7 years ago.
A great place for R&R. Some very nice villages locally, though pretty much everywhere is a drive away.
Excellent elevated terrace which gets the sun at either ends of the day. Large lawn which gets the sun most of the day.
Basement houses washing machine and dryer as well as a dart board and billiard table. Bikes were available for use as was a BBQ.
WiFi was easily accessible though pretty slow.
One very minor thing we would have found useful would have been a guestbook for visitor comments and recommendations.
Perfect country house
Beautiful house in a stunning, peaceful location. Very well equipped and comfortable. Great holiday.
The property was modern, well kept and spacious. It was in beautiful surroundings.
Absolutely fabulous in every way, stylish, well equipped, spacious and light rooms, views amazing!
This property was a delight, we were welcomed by Estelle and shown around the property the rooms were light spacious and there was a big balcony with a fabulous view over the valley with the River Risle winding away in front of us. The bedrooms were also spacious and the bathrooms well equipped. The kitchen was easy to use and the double fridge really helpful. Jean François couldn’t of been more helpful suggesting places to go to eat and also local Chateau and other places of interest. The house is ideally place to visit Rouen, Evreux, Honfleur which is great for lunch, we also went as far as Bayeux. Exploring local villages was also great fun. It was really good to come home in the evening sit out on the balcony with a nice glass of cold French wine or the excellent local cider. Other places not to miss are Le Bec Hellouin don’t miss the Abbey’s shop. Jumièges we suggest taking a picnic. Chateau Gaillard with its stunning views from the top car park can be combined with the unmissable trip to Monet’s gardens and house at Giverny, do go early to avoid the crowds. I have to say finally that it was ‘La Hungerie’ with its stylish interior and wonderful setting that made our holiday.
Nice relaxing time to spend quality time with family in a beautiful gite in stunning surroundings
