About Diana Mazzeo
I am a woman, married, grown-up in Rome in the same elegant and confortable area of this apartment.
Diana Mazzeo purchased this Apartment in 1990
Why Diana Mazzeo chose Zona Vaticana
This apartment was of my grandparents, so we chose the name 'Il balconcino di Viola' in order to remember them, who had lived there so many years: VI-ttoria and nic-OLA ! 'Balconcino' in italian means small and cute balcony
What makes this Apartment unique
Spectacular view of St.Peter's Dome! You can have this fabolous view staying seated in the living-room, having breakfast and dinner or looking out the balcony! I'm sure you'll fall in love with this apartment, just like me!!!

My kids and I spent wonderful 5 days in Rome. We were greeted with kindness and open arms by the owners. The apartment was just as advertised - very clean, spacious and well equipped. We cooked our breakfasts and some dinners and everything was handy.
It took 10 mins to walk to the the Vatican and 5 to Metro. The elevator came in handy for the bags so we didn't have to carry them. Giving it 5 stars!
The apartment is very clean and we felt right at home immediately.
Diana made sure that everything was perfect for our stay. We were a little late in arriving and Diana tracked us down and gave us complete instructions on how to arrive at the apartment. She checked in on us to make sure everything was ok and even made taxi reservations for our departure. The apartment was perfect for our needs. It is very clean and close enough to the metro and transportation. We loved it there and would highly recommend it to anyone.
First Class Apartment in a Great Neighborhood
We really enjoyed our stay in this wonderful apartment.
It is in a very nice, quiet local neighborhood, yet close to Saint Peter's ( great view from front balcony). Short walk to bus stop and metro and grocery shopping.
The apartment is stocked with everything you need for your stay.
I cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay in this apartment.
It was comfortable - beds, couch and chairs. There is ample storage for luggage and
clothing. The kitchen is fully equipped and having a dishwasher is a nice bonus as was the washing machine.
Diana and Francesco provided an all - inclusive book of information ( in multiple languages) about Rome. Nice touch!
Diana and Francesco, also, made arrangement of taxis for us and our daughter to go to airport and train station upon leaving Rome.
They were/are wonderful hosts. Available as needed.
The apartment was a perfect respite after sightseeing in Rome all day.
We highly recommend this apartment.

This apartment is in a great location. It was clean, comfortable, and meet all of our expectations. We were very happy with our choice and would recommend it to anyone visiting Rome.
My cousin and I found the ease as well as beauty of Il Balconcino do Viola to be ideal!
The location was near just enough activity - taxi, restaurants, stores, the Vatican but residential enough for quiet and calm - Two very important features following often glorious, but crowded, sightseeing.
We were very comfortable and charmed by not only the apartment and location (gorgeous!) but also by our hosts, Diana and Francesco !
Grazie Molto!!! Amy and John
Beautiful, spacious apartment with amazing view.
Our family of four loved this apartment! The view of the cathedral is amazing!
Diana and Francesco are wonderful hosts - they thought of every detail to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The apartment is clean, spacious and had everything we needed to feel right at home. We would highly recommend this apartment!
Our apartment “IL BALCONCINO DI VIOLA” is located in an area that combines the elegance of neighborhood 'Prati' (one of the oldest and most famous in Rome) with the veracity of a genuinely roman neighborhood. It is a quiet and residential district, nevertheless, it has many shops, restaurants, clubs and cinemas, with popular shopping-streets and the typical 'Mercato Trionfale', one of the most famous food market in Rome. The apartment is only 5 minutes walking from the Metro Station (Cipro Metro Station at 600 mt) by which going in few minutes to the main city places. In 5 minutes walking it's possible to arrive to the Vatican Museum and in a very pleasant half an hour walking it's easy to reach the old town center (Piazza del Popolo at 2,7Km; Piazza Navona at 2,8 km) passing through Via Ottaviano, Piazza San Pietro, Castel Sant'Angelo and Via Cola di Rienzo. Moreover, just on the same street, it is located the beautiful cathedral of 'San Giuseppe al Trionfale'.
