Nafpaktos. Situated on the north shore of the Corinthian gulf, it is one of Greece's most naturally beautiful locations. The landscape combines both mountainous terrain covered in rich vegetation on the north side, and to the south, a long coastal shore boasting numerous amazing shallow-water beaches with turquoise-blue waters. As if this was not enough, the area is surrounded and bound by ancient history. The city of Nafpaktos itself has a long history leading back to before the ancient Peloponnesian wars, and its castle-fortress is one of the best preserved in Greece. A plethora of historical sites surround this area at every step, almost towards any direction. Only a few kilometers to the east, up in the mountains lie the ruins of the ancient temple of Delphi. The oracle that presided there in ancient times was considered the most important in all of classical Greek history, and visiting is a ''must'' even in modern times...
The home itself is located 10 minutes outside the city of Nafpaktos, right on the beach. It is one of a few rare homes in the area out of which you can literally step onto the beach from your front door.
The home is a restored classical 50's Greek fisherman's home. The owner, who is an amateur carpenter and an artist, has given the home a unique feel which combines the classic and the modern in the most elegant and colourful way.
This two-story holiday home has a wonderfully lit and spacious living and dining room on the ground floor, leading to the fully equipped kitchen which beckons you to use it for the preparation of meals made with ample traditional Greek ingredients found locally. The top floor has four bedrooms, all of which sport original artwork, as well as several hand-crafted furniture pieces by the owner himself. The two beautiful master bedrooms with queen-sized double beds share a balcony which overlooks the beach and the crystal clear waters along with its fishing boats. The third bedroom has a double bed and a single bed, along with an original 50's fireplace should you visit in the winter. Finally lies the single bedroom, which the group's privacy-seeker may reserve for him/her self.
Stepping outside you will find that the seaside patio is perfect for dinning, sunbathing, or just lounging while listening to the sound of the sea. Nine more steps, and the tenth will be on the beach with its serene, clear waters tempting you to extinguish the bright Greek sun in an instant.
If you are looking for a truly traditional Greek summer home and experience, where you can go for a swim or just run outside and dip your feet in the clear water, while having several options for excursions and adventures at exceptional near-by locations, look no further...

Amazing sea view
This is definately one of the great spots in Greece! The house, the village of Skaloma, the view exceeded all our expectations - which were by no means low, having been nearly all over the country we love. The house is exactly as advertised but photos fail to convey the look and feel of a place that's beautifully simple. Simply beautiful. However you like it.
The hosts, Olga and Christos, are very friendly and made us feel at home. We had our privacy too, there was nothing to spoil a perfect vacation. We were sorry to leave a beautiful place and part with very kind and welcoming hosts. Thank you, Olga, Christos and Dimitris! It was a pleasure.
Our familie of six had just the perfect holiday at this great house! Just few steps from the house door we had the beach almost to ourselves. The hosts, Olga and Christos, are very kind and generous.
The house is very nice and clean, and you have everything you need. This property is a gem, and we'd love to stay here again!
Our family stayed in this lovely house for a week in July. The house is comfortable and spotlessly clean. We have three children (11,10,8) and they enjoyed their holiday enormously. The bay feels very safe and they enjoyed wandering to buy ice creams, jumping off the jetty, snorkelling etc. The sea is across the 'road' from the house, which is really a single track/one way promenade along the bay, where cars do pass but at walking speed. There are various beach bars along the bay where lunch, drinks or ice creams are available, but if you sit under a shade in the front garden the bread van, fish man, fruit and vegetable seller all stop as they pass if you wave. The friendly owners live adjacent, and are on hand to sort out any difficulty, and are very welcoming, but never interfered with the privacy of our holiday.
It is a very peaceful holiday and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a great value quiet holiday.
Pretty house in a lovely bay. Used as a base to visit Delphi 2hrs away and Olympia 3hrs away. Village was scenic with little church on hill and a couple of bars. Could walk to next village for more restaurants or drive to Nafpaktos for shops, beaches, bars and restaurants. Great place about 15mins drive although other beaches nearer and of course swimming and sunbathing in Skaloma itself. Owners were very helpful although they did not speak much English there son did. House was good but only had A/C downstairs which made the bedrooms upstairs far too hot to sleep.
