Protea Villa is spacious, the living space on the ground floor is 170 square feet and the surface area of the loft is 80 meters. It is a detached house on a plot of 1000 square meters. Around the house is a beautiful tropical garden overlooking a pond. Herein grow water lilies and reeds are frequented by birds with beautiful colors. The house has windows all around so that you receive sufficient light. There are some beautiful curtains and wooden blinds so you can darken enough. The roof is covered cane and has a overkap that runs on the porch, so you can still enjoy delicious dry here during a tropical rainstorm. Also in the evening you can continue to enjoy the weather, the veranda lighting halogen spots that are too dim. You can also choose candlelight ....
The porch has a dimension of 8x3,5m and overlooks the garden with pond where you can enter through the porch of the stairs. Bottom of the stairs, the barbecue, and also you can find the four sunbeds.
At the back of the house is a carport so that your car can stand in the shade. You come to this carport through a port that is electronically exit.
The house has free WiFi, satellite t. v., flat TV, Air conditioning in all rooms and keep fans on the porch and in the living room if you do not like air conditioning.
Protea Villa features a large living room with open kitchen. The kitchen is well equipped as you would expect a 4 star villa: dishwasher, washing machine, large fridge-freezer, 4 burner gas stove with electronic oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster. Ample is present: crockery, glassware, cookware, dishes, cutlery.
The kitchen is separated from the living room by a breakfast bar with wooden seats.
The living room is spacious and cozy. We stay up two months a year in Protea Villa, and find it very important that the house is cozy and nicely decorated. We have done our best to provide an African feel to it. The lounge has a double sofa and comfortable armchairs. So even on a chilly evening when changing the porch to the living room, where you can sit comfortable. If lights are halogen spots that are too dim and the necessary lamps.
In the back of the living room are two doors that provide access to the bedrooms: one bedroom has a large 2 pers. bed and the other bedroom has two one bedroom. beds that are pushed together. All beds in the house are equipped with a mosquito net. Both bedrooms have private bathrooms with bath, shower and sink and toilet. From each bedroom you through french doors onto a private terrace with outdoor shower.
From the living room is a staircase to the spacious loft. Here are four 1 pers. beds which two by two are pushed together. There is also a seating area, wardrobe and TV. For the guests who sleep here down an extra bathroom with toilet, shower and sink, so no long queues during rush hour.
You can choose how often you want to have cleaned the house, there are no separate charge for.

The key address is close to Protea Villa, you will be escorted to your home and they make sure everything is in order. Even if you need anything during your stay, you can always contact them, you can make internal calls to the front desk. They speak English and Dutch.
Phalaborwa also has many restaurants, the house is an information directory with addresses and phone numbers.
If you arrive with the flight from Johannesburg to Phalaborwa, you can be picked up. You sit within 15 minutes relaxing on the porch.
From our house you are within 5 minutes in the Kruger National Park, Phalaborwa is called Gateway to the Kruger.
We can highly recommend this wonderful villa set in the well-kept lush Sefapane park. Nicely decorated, clean and proper and the perfect place for a wonderful holiday that gave us chance to lazy relaxing at the pool, evening safaris and new year festivities in the friendly Sefapane restaurant. A place in paradise.
Im Februar 2015 durften wir (2 Ehepaare) das wunderschöne Haus in der ruhigen und sehr sicheren Anlage Sefapane in Phalaborwa bewohnen. Das Haus ist sehr groß, komplett ausgestattet und in einem sehr gepflegten Zustand. Auf der schönen Gesamtanlage mit 2 Pools befindet sich ein empfehlenswertes, fußläufig erreichbares Restaurant . Die Betreuung war in jeder Hinsicht bestens und wir können das Haus absolut empfehlen

Bij aankomst haalt u bij de Lodge de sleutel van Protea Villa op, en uw creditcardgegevens worden dan opgenomen in verband met borgstelling.
U dient zelf zorg te dragen voor een annuleringsverzekering en een reisverzekering.
Wij vragen 30% aanbetaling bij boeking en het restantbedrag 4 weken voor aanvang van de huurperiode.

Phalaborwa is a town at the edge of the Kruger Park. It has an extensive shopping center with good supermarkets and many other stores. Phalaborwa has the reputation of being one of the cleanest cities in South Africa. It is not a big city but has all the amenities. There is a wide choice of restaurants, which are easily accessible from our home.
Our Protea House is 3 km at a small airport from. This small airport serves three times a day the tourists who come flying in from Johannesburg. These are small 29 seater aircraft and the only three flights a day there countries. Car rental companies like Avis, Europcar and Hertz have an office here.
Phalaborwa is situated 2km from the entrance to the Kruger National Park and therefore has been given the nickname "Gateway To The Kruger. Here are many options to enjoy a safari so you can create a self-drive safari with your rental car, but there are also many opportunities to book a safari in an open jeep safari, mountain bike, or on foot. You can opt for a morning or an evening safari. There is also the possibility to create a river safari on the Olifants River. Most tourists come to Phalaborwa because it's such a great base to visit the Kruger Park, but there is much more to enjoy.
1 hour drive from the magnificent Blyde River Canyon, the third largest canyon in the world. Here you can follow the beautiful Panorama Route with many attractions including oaThree Rondavels, Bourke's Lock Potholes and enjoy lunch in Graskop. Also this area is good for hiking and mountain bike tours.
Shortly before Blyde River Canyon is a Silk Farm, guided tours are available, with the manufacturing process of silk is shown. You can also buy ao beautiful duvet covers.
Magoebaskloof is a 1 1/2 hour drive from our house, you will find the pekoe tea plantation is back in operation for a few years. Atop a hill at the plantation is a teahouse where you have a wonderful view over the tea plantation and surrounding areas area.
This gap is a crocodile farm that is to visit and where can perform these animals. Just down the gorge are the Debengeni waterfalls where you can picnic and can use the braais are there. Daredevils can take a canopy tour where you "float" over the gorge. This area is also ideal for hiking and mountain biking. Along the way there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy while enjoying a snack and drink all the beauty. In this environment, a baobab, so big and old and so hollow that there is a small bar is made.
Moholoholo sanctuary for endangered animals is 1 hour away from Phalaborwa. They do very good work, and try if possible to turn the animals back into nature. Another center for cheetahs is HESC, located in Hoedspruit, about 1 hour away from us. In an open Jeep Safari you will be guided along the course cheetah, but there are also wild dogs, hyenas and leopards. This is also great fun for kids to do.
Towards Tzaneen is a 2000 year old baobab tree, which you can go and see a small fee. This trip can easily be combined with a visit to Tzaneen. This is a medium-sized town has a regional market function, you can find many things that you need in the many shops, museums, restaurants, etc.
Also in Hoedspruit you can find everything you need, this is a good place for buying souvenirs. Here are some nice shops and there are several restaurants where you can enjoy all the goodies they have to offer. You are already after 1 hour in Hoedspruit.
