Marc and Grace were great hosts and the apartment is in an ideal location for touring Porto and some of the smaller towns around Porto. Spent a great deal of time walking to the major sights because the apartment is centrally located . Thanks for a great vacation on Marc. We would recommend this apartment to anyone travelling to Porto.
Location central to everything.
We enjoyed this central location. Property fit all needs for two couples enjoying Porto for our first time. We were within walking distance to churches, waterfront, stores and restaurant. Easy access to Douro, ocean, and port caves. We had a magical time. Would stay here again!
Great location, some quirks
I'll start with the pros: great location in the Ribeira, just minutes from the river, the metro, restaurants, the cathedral, etc. The apartment is clean, and the master bedroom is large and comfortable. The landlord is fairly responsive and was able to accommodate a weird check-in time.
The not-perfect: some gaps in communication, although we got everything worked out in the end. You have to be flexible.
The cons: the master is good, the 2nd bedroom fair, the third bed is kind of a joke - it's on a platform over the remodeled kitchen/2nd bath, and open to everything. Although the apartment is billed as sleeping six, I think it would work better with a family rather than three couples. The kitchen is tiny, and not really useful - don't plan on cooking any full meals. The refrigerator is so-so and doesn't have an ice-maker. Overall, the apartment is not very well supplied compared to other places we've stayed - 2 extra rolls of TP for a two-week stay? No salt, pepper, or trash bags? Espresso cups, but no espresso machine? We also had a drain issue, and although the owner took care of it the same day it looked like it was starting to reoccur after a week.
Knowing what we know now, we'd probably stay in a different neighborhood, but if you want to be right in the action and are willing to put up with a few quirks, this apartment might work well.
Thanks for the comments!
We will take into consideration for the future customers. Communication is upmost important element between owner and guests. We could have provided with more supplies if requested. Please next time just mail me, text me or call me! I am available for my guests anytime! Regards M
We loved our stay in Porto!

Great unit and a great location
Like I said in the title it was Great stepping off point for any exploring you wanted to do in Puerto the apartment was clean and had everything that we need it was perfect except for I wish I would’ve booked for another week thanks again Marc. Evan Vigneau
Hope to see you soon again
Excellent apartment in an excellent location
As other people have reviewed, you do need to be aware the third bedroom is on a mezzanine floor at the back of the lounge, which isn’t suitable for small children as it’s high up and there’s only a thin rail to hold on to. It’s perfectly fine for adults, and is comfortable. The other 2 bedrooms are spacious and the beds were very comfortable and large.
The apartment is clean, spacious and has plenty of storage. The kitchen is ample for cooking, and we cooked several evening meals plus breakfast, etc. There is no freezer but there is a large fridge.
The location is the apartment is really fabulous- close to museums, the cathedral, Ribeira Square and the river. There are wonderful restaurants and bars, flooded with locals and happy tourists within minutes of the apartment. You could eat out for lunch and dinner every day for months and not go to the same place twice. There are supermarkets across the road and a good supermarket with fresh meat about 5 minutes around the corner. It’s very good value for eating out and buying groceries - cheaper than then UK and much cheaper than other holiday destinations. The beach is a lovely tram ride away, or a taxi for 6 euros, or a bus for 2, and it doesn’t take long. A taxi is the quickest (about 10 mins or so) whereas the tram is more quaint and takes around 20 mins.
Marc is super responsive to queries and questions and kindly booked taxis for us. I would most definitely stay here again. We had a wonderful stay!
Thanks and hope to see you again soon
You are in the historic center of the city of Porto, next to the Zona Ribeirinha. You are almost next to the Palacio da Bolsa, the Sao Francisco and nearby church of Infante Dom Henrique Garden.
