A detached, brick built barn conversion in the heart of the Cheshire plains. Guests enjoy ample natural lighting, and uninterrupted views of the countryside.

Downstairs is open-plan, with a fully equipped kitchen and dining area. The fabric sofa coverts into a double bed.

A comfortable home with everything you need for an enjoyable stay: bedding, towels, television, local area guides, PS3, free Wi-Fi, outdoor seating, free parking and bike storage to name a few.

Family friendly, we can provide you with a high chair and cot upon request. We want you to have a lovely time with us and if there is anything we can do to help make your stay more perfect before your arrival, please don't hesitate to ask.

The property is a 10-15 minute drive to Chester City centre depending on traffic, making it a great base if you want a combination of city hustle and bustle with village charm, peace and relaxation.

Lovley!!

Lovley barn, had all the essentials needed. Good location! Owners were very helpful as they leave a book with taxi numbers and places to eat ect. Defiantly go again if staying in Chester! 15 mins away from Chester zoo and Cheshire oaks!!!!!!!

Lovely property

Booked this property as attending family wedding nearby. Two adults two kids. Pictures don't do the property justice - the downstairs area is huge! Liked the fact you just checked yourself in and didn't have to make small talk! Very clean. Some constructive criticism - another mirror, possibly full length would be good. Also some coathooks under the stairs would be useful. Other than that - great. Thank you.

Nice barn conversion

The actual property was very nice - so much space downstairs but only 1 bedroom and bathroom. Would not like to stay in it with more than 2/3 people!!

The outside area was pleasant enough but the patio area is not enclosed so we could not leave the doors open to let the dogs out. Even if we had wanted to sunbathe on the one day - the owners had their sun lounger out on the patio so we felt we could not go outside, so a bit of a wasted time for us. Its not as rural as the picture gives the impression of either, lots of road noise. It did us as a base for our weekend away but would not stay here again - not dog friendly at all.

Owner's Response: Hi Michael I am glad to learn that you enjoyed the ample space the barn provides!. As you mentioned, the barn is ideal for 2 guests, but we have adequate sleeping facility for 6 if one chooses to avail it. The patio area has not been developed as a dog friendly area. We have a large paddock and also a public park opposite the property for the dogs to exercise. The sun loungers are for the benefit of both owner and guests.I urge the future guests not to deny themselves the use of sun loungers if they so wish. Tarvin (where the property is located) is considered rural and we feel the road is a fair distance away from the barn. I thank you for choosing the barn for your stay. It is unfortunate that you do not consider it pet friendly. We shall take your criticism on board and endevour to improve our guests experience even more in the future. Thx Bona

Disappointing and cold

Arrived about 4pm and property very cold. Put all heaters on and took about 3 hours before comfortable temperature. No instructions on log fire, full of ash and no logs inside so not a quick remedy. TV remote control would not work, probably batteries too cold.

Laundry bag with dirty washing on inside doormat, one heater had broken bracket, bedside lamp had broken shade and disposable lighter left on upstairs bed - no smoking?

Paper blowing around driveway and soggy post sticking out of postbox - both of which we sorted but generally felt uncared for.

No we did not attempt to ring owner but we were able to remedy/ignore problems, just very disappointing.

Owner's Response: Dear Robert First of all, please accept my sincere apology for your stay which fell below expectations. We have always tried our best to provide the most comfortable stay to our guests(as shown by the reviews from our previous guests!). Sadly on this occasion, our service fell below the high standard we always try to maintain. I take full responsibility for the shortcoming and have put in place necessary action plan to prevent recurrence. Without apportioning blame on anyone in particular, and just for your information and our future guests, there was a change in the cleaners who forgot to turn the heaters on and empty the fireplace and bring in the logs. In the same token , they also inadvertently left the used linen inside the property. We have left strict instructions to prevent recurrence. As you rightly mentioned, it was one of the most wet and windy days in a long time which resulted in some rubbish been blown around. I should also take this opportunity to thank you for pushing the mail into the mail box (which the postman should have done in the first instance!) to avoid them getting wet. Once again, I am sorry for the shortcomings. I take this opportunity to thank you for bringing it to our attention so that I can act on them. I hope you enjoyed the rest of the comforts the barn offers namely the secure , quiet, peaceful location, the uninterrupted views of the unspoilt Cheshire countryside through picture frame window, the comfortable king size bed and the ample space the barn offers and hope to see you again in the not too distant future. Lovely relaxing break

We originally planned in staying for 2 nights but when we got there it was so relaxing that we called work and booked an extra day off. I txt the owners and extra money through paypal, it was that simple. The barn was gorgeous and really cosy with the fire on. Its big enough for children with really big grounds ao next time we go were taking the kids too. We had everything we needed apart from a lighter for the fire but with the co op being down the road that wasnt a problem. Over all it was really quiet and relaxing, just what me and the fiancee needed to do some wedding planning.

bit disappointed

Wrong code for door was given, incorrect telephone number left for contact, shower was rubbish and hardly gave hot water,..nice view and comfy bed and nice downstairs area though

With regards to the wrong key code- I wish to inform you that it was essentially an e mail error. We have sorted it and should not recur. Regarding wrong telephone number- We always provide 3 telephone numbers to our guests so that they have alternate numbers to contact. I am very sorry about the shower.We are in the process of replacing the shower and also adding a bath.
