We had a lovely week staying here and can't recommend it highly enough. The owners were so friendly and helpful both beforehand when organising our trip and then in person.
The house is one of the best we've stayed in. It's very clean and pleasantly furnished and is especially great if you have small children as it has everything you need (cot, toddler bed, buggy, many toys, wendy house in the garden, children's cutlery etc etc). There is secure off street parking and a lovely enclosed garden with seating and lots to entertain.
The house couldn't be better situated - a minute's walk to a huge sandy beach, and moments from the post office (With ATM) and a good sized Carrefour City. Shops and restaurants are a very short walk away and Binic is a charming town to be based in.
There are many nice places to visit in the area - Zooparc Tregomeur, Dinan, Paimpol and the Abbaye de Beauport.
We hope to return!
Every time we come back to the house of the family Mannick we enjoy it and it is feeling coming home again.
The house is situated in the centre with all the facilities in the near vicinity.
We will come again!!
This is a lovely cottage set in an enclosed garden. Good for couples or families with children. The location is very good. It's a few minutes walk to the beach, local shops and restaurants. There is a supermarket next door, cash line just in front, and a couple of bars around the corner.
Our favourite restaurant was L,Adresse. Good atmosphere and good food. The ice cream shop is also worth a visit.
The owners are welcoming and helpful.
There is a local bus but the timetable is pretty random.
My wife and I spent a lovely week in this charming home close to the water in Binic. We enjoyed the home's proximity to restaurants, grocery, the port and the beach. We spent hours watching the water and the tides and walking the port. Ploumanach, Perros Guirec, Dinan, Saint Malo were easy day trips. This small resort town proved to be a very pleasant place for a September getaway.
The house was wonderfully equipped and could easily accommodate four or five. The living room and dining room were gorgeous. We especially liked having our breakfast on the back sun porch.
The owners, Marie and Gwenael, were very helpful. They went out of their way to make certain our stay was enjoyable.
We would certainly recommend this rental, and we hope to return.
This was our second stay in Binic (see earlier review April 2012). We had an equally enjoyable time - very clean, well-equipped property. The weather was mild and apart from on one very rainy day we were out all day walking and playing on various beaches/visiting cities etc. The improvements to the promenade were complete, which made the beach front much more attractive this time. We enjoyed relaxing in Binic and again found the nearby shop so convenient for buying the daily picnic (also it was the only place open on the Bank Holiday (1st Nov). If you want to escape the commercial over-kill of Halloween in the UK this is definitely the place to go - very very understated. However, on Halloween itself we did find a great little restaurant in Binic called Moana, where the owners had decorated the window, tables etc and offered a Halloween menu and face painting for children. Lovely food and service. Again, we found Maison de Lea to be child friendly.
For day trips during the week we were able to reach Morlaix, Quimper, Brest, Benodet, Erquy and various other liitle coves and villages within 2 hours. Brest Castle/Maritime Museum was interesting and a hit with our 5 year old. Quimper Cathedral boasts some stunning stained glass. Benodet and Erquy beaches were both terrific for the sand and rock pools. There are lots of guide books in the property (in French mostly), but very inspiring pictures if you need ideas. Ploumanac'h remains our family favourite spot - we just didn't want to leave!
Thank you Mary and Guenal for your welcome and the gifts. We look very much to visit number 3.
Have just had a fabulous 2 weeks in Binic. House was excellent, really comfortable and well equipped. Facilities in kitchen were very good, with everything provided for the most adventuous of cooks!
Garden perfect for alfresco dining and outdoor cooking with weber barbeque.
We really enjoyed Binic, and as it was not yet high season lovely and quiet, made to feel very welcome by the locals. Everything on doorstep; shops, Restaurants, excellent Thursday Market and of course the Port and beaches.
Slightly further afield we enjoyed visiting Brehat Island, Cathedral at Treguier, and our favorite beach Plage Bonaparte just outside Plouha (on Paimpol side.) Steam train "Vapeur" a little dissapointing, and in our view overpriced. Pontrieux though, well worth a visit, perhaps by car though!
Hosts Guenaul and Marie charming and informative about the house, we appreciated lovely fresh flowers being left for us along with local delicious cider and cake!
We would highly recommend this house, both for it's comfort and convenience to all requirements for that perfect holiday.......just a pity about the weather we had!
Would happily return again and again.
