Charming home located directly on Town Cove. This lovely home is situated on a quiet, private lane with private stairs leading to water. Launch your kayak into the Cove, enjoy clamming, or simply enjoy the water views from almost every room.
Four bedrooms, one full bath, one half bath. For added comfort, there is a private outdoor shower with hot/cold water to enjoy after a day at the beach. Newly furnished, this home is in immaculate condition. Two bedrooms with queen-beds and two more bedrooms offering twin-beds & trundle make this home ideal for two families or extended families.
Convenient location near to town, great restaurants, and all public beaches. High-speed internet for your convenience.
Whimsea is beautiful place! The views and especially the sunsets are spectacular!
The decoration of the house is very tastefully done. The color scheme runs through everything, the linens, the accessories and the furniture.
The little private beach on the Cove is perfect to cool off on a hot day and to enjoy the late afternoon sun .
The house is very centrally located. All the beautiful beaches of the Cape are close by, downtown Orleans with some nice restaurants , shops and the bike trails are a short drive away.
We had a great family reunion with our children here and have very fond memories of this wonderful house.
Whimsea the house truly is as magical as Whimsea the name. It is one of the most beautiful homes I've stayed in in Orleans, and quite possibly the finest renovated antique Cape you'll find anywhere. The owner clearly has a decorator's touch: from the chandeliers, to the sea glass, to the lovely white furniture ... everything in this house is top quality and delightfully artistic. There is plenty of room to spread out, including a fun family room with large TV and more casual furniture. The bedrooms are adorable and the sheets and towels all top notch. The kitchen is well appointed for casual dining or entertaining guests. And you are spoiled for choice whether to eat in the delightful dining room, at the peninsula counter, or outside. In any case, and from almost any perch, you have a splendid view of the Town Cove. The setting is down a dirt driveway and very private, but literally minutes to town. I can't recommend this highly enough for a couple or families with children old enough to respect the gorgeous furnishings. The owner was organized and very pleasant to deal with as well.
