About Licensed Vacation Specialist
As a Miami resident for over 30 years, I have always enjoyed getting away to Key Largo for the fishing, boating, and relaxation that is unique to the area. Being able to share the Key Largo laid back life style with other families from all over the world has truly been one of the most gratifying experiences of my life. Over the years I have been able to meet so many people and share stories with them. They all seem to have the same things in common, they all love experiencing nature and the outdoors in a way that brings them closer together as a family. I am married to a very supportive wife Charlene and have two great kids, Sofia and Fernando Jr. They all love the outdoors just as much as dad. I am a Civil Engineer by trade, having worked for 11 years at a firm in Miami primarily in the areas of Land Development and Highway Design. In the mid 90's I began renting out my second home in Key Largo to generate extra income and as the saying goes 'The rest is history'. I still keep my Engineering License active (worked to hard to get it) and have since obtained my Real-estate License. I am currently a member of the Key Largo Board of Realtors and I'm presently serving as President of the Kawama Yacht Club Board of Directors.

Exactly what we were looking for
Nice property, very clean, comfortable and we'll located.
Everything was perfect except all the seaweed that took over the beautiful beach and marina. 2 of the tings we rented here in the first place . Wish we would of had a heads up.
Sorry about the seaweed, at this time of the year with the East wind the entire coast of Florida has seaweed wash ashore. Association is looking into installing floating barrier to keep seaweed off the beach.

Lovely and clean, comfy beds, everything you need for a memorable holiday. Cooker, BBQ, washing machine/dryer really useful. near to the pool and lagoon, Kawama YC is a great location, near shops to stock up on all essentials and near some great locations, lots to do. BEDROOMS SHARE ONE UPSTAIRS BATHROOM
THIS WAS MISLEADING; WE THOUGHT WE WERE GETTING A FULL BATHROOM WITH EACH BEDROOM. THERE IS ONLY ONE BATHROOM UPSTAIRS, WHICH BOTH BEDROOMS SHARE ON THAT LEVEL. THE UPSTAIRS BATH HAS A TINY VANITY WITH VERY LITTLE COUNTER SPACE. DOWNSTAIRS THERE IS A HALF BATH THAT APPARENTLY WAS REMODELED TO INCLUDE A VERY SMALL SHOWER. THERE IS NO ROOM TO DRY OFF IN THE DOWNSTAIRS BATH SO YOU MUST STEP OUT INTO THE KITCHEN TO DRY OFF. IT'S SO SMALL YOU CAN WASH YOUR HANDS WHILE SITTING ON THE TOILET. THE KITCHEN WAS ILL-EQUIPPED. COOKING PANS WERE IN TERRIBLE CONDITION. THERE WAS DEFINITELY A TERRIBLE SMELL IN THE MARINA AREA (AS MENTIONED BY OTHER REVIEWERS). I DON'T KNOW IF IT WAS ROTTING SEAWEED OR WHAT, BUT IT WAS SO BAD WE DIDN'T VENTURE BACK TO THE MARINA/BEACH AREA, WHICH WAS OTHERWISE BEAUTIFUL, EXCEPT THE BEACH WAS COMPLETELY COVERED IN SEAWEED. BUT THERE IS AN AREA TO WALK WITH NICE VIEWS - IF IT WEREN'T FOR THAT SMELL! A COUPLE OF NIGHTS WE WERE KEPT AWAKE BY KIDS PLAYING IN THE POOL LATE INTO THE NIGHT (I THINK IT OFFICIALLY CLOSES AT DARK). ON THE PLUS SIDE, THE UNIT IS CLOSE TO THE POOL AND THE NEXT DOOR NEIGHBORS OWN THEIR HALF OF THE DUPLEX AND THEY ARE VERY NICE. THE BEDS WERE COMFORTABLE. THE LANAI WAS DECENT AND A QUIET PLACE TO EAT, BUT NO REAL VIEW. THIS IS AN OLDER PLACE, AND THIS UNIT COULD USE A GOOD CLEANING AND BETTER ATTENTION TO EQUIPPING THE KITCHEN. COFFEE MAKER WAS NASTY, SO GLAD WE BROUGHT OUR OWN.
What an incredibly untrue and exaggerated posing. In the 20 years that I have been managing my vacation rentals, I have never received a 2 star review. Reason being that I take tremendous pride in making sure my guest have a positive experience and I also show photos of all main features of a unit so that there is no misunderstanding. The best proof is in the fact that I have a long history of getting nothing but 4 and 5 star reviews on this very unit. No one has ever complained about the issues you raised. Which says a lot more about you than it does about the actual unit. Why you would think that each bedroom had its own private bath is a mystery to me. No where in the ad is that even implied. Every single one of the 60 units in this association are laid out exactly the same way, bathrooms are the exact same size. The smaller bath with shower is most suitable for average size people, larger individuals will naturally use the main bath with tub. To suggest that you have to step out of bath to dry is ridiculous. If there was ANY issue with the unit you could have let me know and I would have quickly resolved it, during the entire time of your stay you never once contacted me about any issues whatsoever. Which is just more evidence that this is a very malicious review and not credible. This is the problem with reviews anybody can say whatever they want and and there is absolutely nothing owners can do about it. Luckily I have many positive reviews on this unit, so your nasty posting will not have its desired affect.
Nicely renovated condo. Clean, close to pool, lagoon, jetty and beach. Many activities nearby and friendly people on complex with activities. Would have loved to have stayed longer. Nearby activities include excellent fishing, snorkeling, kayaking, dining and happy hours. Even a movie theater if you have a rainy day.
Other Activities: Swim with dolphins
