About Shane and Kelly Cook
The Julep house was the first home my wife Kelly, and I purchased. We were in our early 20's when we got married. A few years later we bought and fell in love with our little cottage. We lived and grew up there together for 9 years. We then moved to Fletcher NC and were fortunate enough to keep our home in Laurel Park. We converted the home into Kelly's salon Luna Blue Studio, until after 10 years her business outgrew the home. We relocated the salon a few miles away, and turned the house back into a home just for you. We are both from Henderson County and are so glad to have you stay at our home. We hope you enjoy our town the way we have all our lives.
Shane and Kelly Cook purchased this House in 1998

Cozy quiet and comfortable
Loved this little house. The property is well kept- we enjoyed the park-like setting especially from the side porch! Great location in a quiet neighborhood. Great parking (handy if you have a large vehicle!). Just a short drive to downtown and easy to get to everything. The owners were helpful and very thoughtful. I recommend The Julep House!
Great location and perfect stay - we will be back
Perfect accommodations for the 4 of us. Close to the grocery stores and some good restaurants as well as some gorgeous places to hike and explore within a 30 minute drive. The house had everything we needed.
We stayed here with our toddlers and it worked out great! Close to everything, the house was super clean. We enjoyed it
Had a wonderful stay at the Julep House ! Upon arriving after dark we entered to a warm and cozy atmosphere. The heat had been turned up and a note welcoming us was on the counter along with a treat !! The beds were comfortable and the living room was plenty big for the four of us to relax in after sightseeing.
The house was within walking distance to the Dixie Diner - a delightful breakfast place where the service was a pleasant as the food.
We went to dinner at "Umi" Sushi restaurant, another great restaurant in Hedersonville, recommended by our hosts! We then checked out "Poe House" a charming bar/restaurant that happened to have live music - a charming duo with their own twist on some popular tunes.
Hiked at Dupont State Park - beautiful !!!
Thank you Shane and Kelly for sharing your home with us!
Cute, comfy, cozy little home!
My husband I spent a few days here before Christmas and loved this cozy little home. The kitchen was well equipped..everything we needed to host our grandchildren for a Christmas dinner.
We liked that it was close to the town of Hendersonville with all of its many shops and restaurants.
Shane and Kelly had wine and goodies waiting on us when we arrived and made sure if we needed them to just call.
So, if you are looking for a quite, clean, comfortable place to relax this place is for you.
Comfortable, Clean, Convenient
I came to NC to visit family and friends for Thanksgiving. This home was the perfect place for me and my dog to stay and commute to our family functions. When I arrived I was greeted with a bottle of wine and fresh muffins from the local bakery. It is located in a quiet neighborhood which made it easy to sleep in the comfortable bed at night. There is a screened patio that looks out over nice greenery. The owner, Shane was very friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a nice, quiet place to stay in the Hendersonville area, this is your place!
5 minutes from downtown Hendersonville, 30 minutes from Asheville. Local breweries are everywhere, Sierra Nevada Brewery is a must see weather you enjoy craft beer or not, they also have incredible food. Laurel Park is home to jump off rock, a grand view to say the least. Head west on Hwy 64 and check out Pisgah National Forest. On the way up to the Blue Ridge Parkway be sure to stop at Looking Glass Falls, and Sliding Rock. Dupont State Forest and Caesar's Head State Park are within 45 minutes if you take your time, and the views are worth the drive.
