Lisa and I have owned several vacation rental properties in Ocean City. We started out in 1996 and gradually increased our stock to five properties. Since the height of our little venture, we have sold 2 and are in the process of redeveloping one.

This property used to be a Bed & Breakfast. When Lisa and I purchased it, we had to make some changes to the interior by renovating the kitchen. Other than that, the interior remains unchanged. Old 1920's style construction with some great trim features make this property truly unique.

This place worked out great for us. We couldn't quite fill it, but appreciated all the space. Very close to beach. Great for family reunions and we may try it for a couples retreat.
Plenty of room and close to beach and boardwalk
We were very happy with our stay at 869 Delancey Place. The house had plenty of room for our large family and was very comfortable. The kitchen is huge and easy to cook a meal for a large family. There was plenty of seating in the dining room as well!! I would suggest to leave 2 keys instead of one especially since there are many people in and out of the house. Also, there really is only one parking spot. The garage suggests that it fits a small car, but we tried that and our hood stuck out in the sidewalk, so really just the one spot in front of the garage. The proximity to the beach and boardwalk was great!!
Thank you for your review. We will be happy to generate a second key for use by other family members. Thanks for the suggestion. Unless you have a mini cooper or fiat 500 the garage may not completely fit your car. Parking has always and will continue to be a pain in the rear.
Older property but spacious
We had a larger party with a lot of kids. The property size and configuration were very accommodating. It was close to the beach and boardwalk and the kitchen was tremendous. The dining room was perfect for multiple families. Each room had an HD tv and the house had wifi. The house was older but for the size of the house, the amenities and the close proximity to the beach it was well worth it!
Thank you for your kind sentiment. When Lisa and purchased the house, it was a bed & breakfast. We enjoy the old home style amenities you don't find in the newer beach homes. We are especially happy to have large rooms to accommodate the large families that stay with us. The kitchen was the major project and really makes the house functional for a large family. And, if your needs grow even more, we can rent you the lower unit and you can have THE WHOLE HOUSE. That would be 10 bedrooms and 7 1/2 baths, sleeping 28! Enjoy the rest of your summer!
Like Grandma had a big old house at the shore
We were there 10 years ago and the our kids and grandkids have been asking to go back ever since. Everyone was glad we did. Great kitchen and dining area for feeding a crowd. Fantastic porches. Clean and comfortable like an old shoe. Great nearby deli/small grocery. Close to beach and boardwalk but away from noise. Right between two great apple cider donut shops. Walking distance to stores, churches and restaurants. Great owners. Highly recommend.
A great place to spend a vacation
This home is very comfortable and big enough for a large group, which we were. The refrigerator and freezer are bigger than usual and the stove had an extra burner and little side oven - perfect again for a large group. The only thing missing was a paring knife and there could be a few less large bowls in the cabinets to make room for food. Some houses don't have any large bowls for big groups, but here there are plenty. The beds were very comfortable, something you don't always find. The house was so close to the beach which we all loved. The porches are large with lots of chairs and there's always a nice breeze. The owner and his wife were very nice to work with and even were so kind and brought us bread from the Farmers Market. We definitely would like to come back again.
A wonderful vacation house!
We were very satisfied with this house. The sleeping accommodations met all our needs. The kitchen was great. All the appliances worked well. There was ample storage. The dining area was roomy and quaint. The laundry room was convenient. The house was clean. The porches were cool and breezy. The ocean was just a short walk away. The kids loved the outdoor showers. The owners were nice and good to deal with. We are planning to stay there again next year.
Just 30 minutes from the junction of the Atlantic City Expressway and the Garden State Parkway. Head south until exit #30 Ocean City. Once through the toll, keep heading east on route 52. Through the circle in Somers Point and over the causeway to Ocean City. Somers Point houses all the alcoholic entertainment establishments needed for any occasion. North of Ocean City is Longport, and south is Sea Isle City. Corsons Inlet State Park on the south end of the island.
