With great second-story views of adjacent meadows and the surrounding San Juan Mountains, you will love this family friendly, two-bedroom property featuring private full bath, laundry, and fully-equipped kitchen and dining facilities. The suite is smoke and pet free and features allergen barrier bedding and an AccuClean(TM) Whole Home Air Filtration System.
Offering 960 square feet of living space, the large, open great room and vaulted ceilings throughout provide spacious living quarters. Private decks facing east and west let you enjoy sun or shade any time of day. With a queen bed in one bedroom and two twin beds in the other, the suite comfortably sleeps four (five with a youngster on the available cot).
With 400 thread-count 100% cotton sheets, plush carpeting, dedicated high-speed and password protected wireless internet service by CenturyLink, premium HDTV service by Dish Network with 'The Hopper', custom woodwork and historical area photographs and art, this spacious suite is outfitted to be your favorite home away from home.
The convenient, edge-of-town location is as quiet as it gets, yet directly across the street you can access Ridgway's network of wide, pedestrian and bike friendly sidewalks for a quick, easy walk or ride into the center of town and all of Ridgway's many fine restaurants, shops, and attractions such as the Ridgway Visitor Center, Railroad Museum, Town Park, County Fairgrounds, and River Trail. (The River Trail traverses the Uncompahgre River corridor to Dennis Weaver Memorial Park, Ridgway State Park, and the awesome hiking trails and single track mountain bike paths surrounding Ridgway.)

MONTHLY RATES: During the months of November through April this unit is only available on a calendar month basis (anywhere from one to six months) at a fully furnished, all-inclusive rent equating to $1695/month, dropping to $1595/month on rentals of three months or more and $1495/month for all six months. Included are all utilities and town services (water and sewer, weekly trash and recyclables pick up), dedicated and password protected high-speed wireless internet service from CenturyLink, premium HDTV service including "The Hopper" from Dish Network, and one professional housecleaning per month. There are no taxes on monthly rentals, however the HomeAway/VRBO system cannot accurately quote this so please call us at 970.275.4700 to be sure you get this special rate.

Cow Creek Suite is ideally located between Telluride and Ouray along the San Juan Skyway, perhaps the most scenic of the entire Colorado Scenic and Historic Byway System. This paved highway forms a 236 mile loop in the southwest part of Colorado traversing the heart of the San Juan Mountains. The property is just 37 scenic highway miles from Telluride's incredible snow skiing and summer festivals, yet only a short walk or drive to Ridgway and Ouray's natural hot springs, unique historic attractions, affordable shops, great restaurants and limitless outdoor adventures. (Think Outside!)

Comfortable apartment in good location for seeing the area
We stayed in the 2nd floor apartment. The apartment is bright and well maintained. It is located in the small town of Ridgway. This worked well for our fishing and hiking trip in the area. It is also very close to several good restaurants. The closest large grocery and other stores are 25 minutes away in Montrose. The kitchen is stocked with basic cookware of lower quality. The outdoor decks are very nice. And so are the views of the mountains and valley.

We were sorry to learn that you found the Wearever stainless steel cookware to be not up to your standards and that you felt this warranted just a 4 out of 5 star review. We know how important guest reviews are to HomeAway travelers so would like to assure our future guests that the apartment is stocked with the same Wearever stainless steel cookware we use in our own home and which we have never found to be lacking in quality. wonderful week at cow creek suite in ridgway
My wife and 2 kids had a wonderful weeks stay at cow creek suite in Ridgway last week. The first thing i noticed was everything was sooooooo clean. My wife's first comment was "the pictures really didn't do it justice, much roomier than i expected. My family really enjoyed the ability to cook and eat breakfast and dinner everyday with all the amenities of home. Most of all just let me say this,(and Im not one for giving out flattering comments regularly), I was contacted on 3 different occasions by Bob during the week to check on us and make sure everything was satisfactory. I've never met Bob in person but there is no doubt He and Mary Beth do want to be sure that everyone that stays at their property are happy and pleased with there stay. As we were driving back to Texas my wife and I both said to each other, "we are definitely coming back". We would give six stars but we ran out of stars. LOL Thanks Bob and Mary Beth
Good place and location
The unit was nice and clean. Overall, I was impressed but the only thing knocking it was the quality of the beds. We all didn't get the best rest because of that, but overall it was a value rental.
PROBLEM SOLVED - NEW MATTRESSES! We would like to assure our future guests that the quality, condition and comfort of our beds is superb as attested by the 16 repeat guests we've been honored to host in just the past year as well as by the guest who's review concluded "...the bed was one of the most comfortable beds on which we have ever slept!" (We encourage you to read all of our reviews.) This being our first complaint we immediately checked with the subsequent guests during their stay and learned that while the master bedroom queen mattress was providing superb comfort the Sealy Posturepedic twin mattresses in the second bedroom were not. Upon further inspection we found that someone had flipped the foundations upside down which likely caused the mattresses to fail prematurely. There are now brand new mattresses on the twin beds in the second bedroom. We sincerely thank our two most recent guests for providing this feedback enabling us to ensure Cow Creek Suite remains second to none among area vacation rentals.
