Our apartment is part of the residence La Duquesa located in a quiet garden with trees on the northern edge of the village of Sabinillas, in the municipality of Manilva (south). The residence is 450 meters from the beach. It was our desire to have a remote apartment within walking distances of all the beach activities and village amenities, while providing quiet and peace from the village noises and seaside activities.
The residence is fully secured, under the supervision of guard 24/7. It has 2 private pools (reserved for residents), which are maintained daily throughout the year.
Once the vehicle parked safely and protected from the sun in the underground garage of the building, you are just 5 minutes 'walk' of everything: beaches (450 m), port and marina Duquesa, shops and restaurants. Golf is just below, 1.5 km from the apartment.
In front of the residence, accessible to the public, is located a flowery town park with playground, a basketball court and a small football field.
The residence consists of 6 buildings with 4 levels (ground floor + 3 floors), accessible on foot, but also by elevator from the underground garage, built in the tradition of Andalusian white villages. It is popular among couples and families who want to spend a sunny holiday, taking advantage of private swimming pools, maintained and secured, near a beach or a golf course, while enjoying the rest and the beauty of a great garden and flowers.
Located on the edge of the village and a hillside, the residence offers peace and quiet, especially in the evenings and at night, away from the hustle and bustle of beach games, restaurants and shops ..
Our apartment, including its terrace, is on the ground floor, which is very comfortable when returning from the groceries shopping or the beach ...
From the large terrace (35 m2) facing south, you have a beautiful and direct view of one of the two private pools of the residence, and so on your children that bathe and play in it. Of course, since it’s a private pool, there is no children animator or games, nor a supervision of a lifeguard: monitoring your children remains under your responsibility.
While the terrace is on the ground floor, it nevertheless retains its intimacy! The building is built on a slope; the main entrance is on the ground floor while the garden-side terrace appears to be on the first floor (due to the slope). In front of the terrace spreads a sloping lawn plants, without any possibility of view from walkers in the garden on your terrace!
The apartment of 85 m2, new and comfortable, is equipped to accommodate 6 people: double bed in the first bedroom, twin beds in the second bedroom, and sofa bed (convertible) for 2 in the living room.
The living room (20 m2) is bright, colorful and joyful. We chose modern furniture, with sunny colors: white, yellow, and orange. You will enjoy reading, listening to music (stereo system), or watching TV (access to French and Spanish channels) in the living room. However, you will probably spend most of your time on the large terrace (15 m2) accessible through the double door to the living room, whether right under the sun (about half the uncovered terrace facing south) or in the shade (the other half of the terrace is covered).
On the terrace you will find a large table and chairs for 6 people and a side table, which you will enjoy at tea time or the aperitif, as well as 2 lounge chairs for sunbathing. ..
The first room (Marilyn and New York theme) is equipped with a double bed (160 x 200), large closets, and a private bathroom (bath, washbasin and WC). The window overlooks the large south facing terrace.
The second bedroom (Theme Lifestyle) is equipped with 2 single beds (90 x 200) and a large storage shelf. The window-door gives access to the rear terrace, 6 m2, north facing and shaded.
To accommodate 6 people, we have chosen for the living room, a sofa bed that opens easily, providing a very comfortable bed (140 x 200).
The second bathroom (shower, sink and toilet) finds its entrance in the main hall.
You will find the kitchen fully equipped: fridge and freezer, dishwasher, oven, coffee maker, ..., kitchen equipment, pans, dishes, glasses and cutlery, allowing you to can cook freely!
At the back of the kitchen, a glass door opens to the laundry (washing machine) and the rear terrace where you can dry your clothes safely.

Regarding the activities, there of course, the sea, the sandy beach, beach activities, boat trips, golf - well under the promise of 'Costa del Sol, Costa del golf '.
In the surrounding hills, you will find marked hiking paths (GR), particularly in the many natural reserves of Andalusia, where you will walk through its picturesque white villages ...
A little further (Estepona 10 kms away or Marbella / Puerto Banus 40 km away), you can rent scooters which will navigate you through the winding and hilly roads in the Andalusian countryside ...
You might also want to visit (do not miss it!) the very famous Gibraltar (36 kms), Tarifa (62 kms), Marbella (43 kms), Ronda (50 kms), Jerez (132 kms), Cadiz (150 kms), Malaga (95 kms), Seville (219 kms), Granada (220 kms), Cordoba (252 km) and many other towns and villages of the beautiful Andalusia ... Unless you want to benefit from your stay in Andalusia to discover another continent and spend a day or two in Africa, Morocco, Tangier or in the Rif? The 14km strait is crossed in less than one hour from Algeciras (near Gibraltar) or Tarifa!
