VAIL RESORTS has linked two awesome ski/board areas - Park City and the Canyons - creating the largest resort in the United States with 7,300 acres of skiable terrain. The new Quicksilver gondola offers easy access between Park City and the Canyons.
This is a luxury resort with all the amenities: ski valet, Serenity Spa, Drafts Sports Bar and Pub, complimentary shuttle to Historic Park City, Deer Valley and local venues. Master bedroom has its own 2 person jetted tub and steam shower. Second bedroom, en suite, has a separate galley kitchen, which makes it perfect for kids or teens. Available 2017: Mar. 19-26; Mar. 26-Ap. 2. Images under the Photos tab include typical property photos as well as a floor plan.
Kitchens are fully furnished: refrigerator, stove, microwave, utensils and linens. Washer and dryer are located in each unit; no need to go down the hall or to another floor hauling your dirty laundry. You can order your groceries in advance for a fee, and the kitchen will be fully stocked when you walk in the door. Drop your bags, brew some hot chocolate, and sit by the fire looking out at the mountains - the Canyons Village is 35 minutes from Salt Lake City airport!
The Westgate ski valet will keep your skis/boards overnight, and even dry your boots and gloves. In the morning, the valet will take your skis/boards to Red Pine Gondola, located just across the forum from Westgate. At the end of your day, ski in to the base of either the Gondola or the Orange Bubble Express, adjacent to ski beach.
At the center of Canyons forum you will find open-air seating and firepits next to the Umbrella bar for apres-ski and concerts, Ski Beach, restaurants, ski and board rental, ticket sales, ski school, ski/board and clothing retail, small grocery and day-care. The Canyons ski/board area alone has 3700 acres of terrain, 8 peaks, 17 lifts, 3 terrain parks, and 7 natural half-pipes (our family's favorites). With the added Park City areas, the combined total is over 7300 acre. 'So large and varied is The Canyons that every level of skier will find not just some terrain, but a bewildering amount of it.' --Tony Chamberlin, Boston Globe.

We first came to Canyons in Park City in 2002. We have skiied many mountains in the American West, the Northeast and in Europe, but we come back to Canyons year after year. Our sons learned to ski/board on a family mountain in upstate New York when they were ages three and four, respectively. Now we live in Florida and they are both over six feet tall - but they can't wait to get on the snow in Park City - aka Champagne Powder - during spring break!
Donna Clayton purchased this condo in 2003
We chose to buy a vacation property at Canyons Village for several reasons. When we first started travelling out west to ski every year, the boys were small, so logistics mattered. From the East Coast, you can leave your house in the morning, and turn the key in the door of your rental property at 1:00 in the afternoon. The suites are large and well-equipped, with privacy for the adults, but plenty of room for kids and their friends. We've had whole families, friends and relatives, stay with us. We like the daily housekeeping (included), washer and dryer in the unit and complimentary on-call Westgate shuttle service.
Canyons Village and Westgate offer a variety of amenities. Access to Red Pine Gondola from Westgate is very convenient. Canyons Village encompasses a retail area with ski shops, restaurants and spas, plus the Umbrella Bar and outdoor seating and firepits for apres-ski. If you ski hard all day, and just want to relax by your fireplace at night, you can. If you feel like roaming, the Park City area is serviced by a free shuttle travelling among the three ski areas (Canyons, Deer Valley, and historic Park City) as well as all the town amenities. Westgate also runs a complimentary shuttle on-call; they will take you to the movies, restaurants, or the grocery store, then come and get you when you're finished - all you have to do is ask. Local attractions include hot air balloons, a tubing park, horseback riding, vintage train rides, dog sleds, and snow-mobiling.
Whether you are looking for a romantic getaway or a great family vacation, you can have it here!
The location is perfect. We love the convenience of ski-in/ski-out. The Canyons village (shops, rentals, restaurants) are right out your door!
The resort is packed with many great amenities. We took full advantage of the pools and hot tubs! It was really nice to have free shuttle access to anywhere in Park City!!!
We will back for years to come! Many thanks to the owners for providing a great experience for my family and I!!!
We rented the complete suite for our extended family of eight people including my 77 year old Mother, our two teenage boys, and our Niece's 4 and 6 year olds. We had stayed in the hotel next door two years before and really liked the kid friendly nature of the place plus the huge ski area and were clued in on the great discounts at VRBO.
Our pricing was great (and typical of these time shares, LOTS cheaper than the hotel), our biggest concern for this first time was how easy it would be to get the reservation confirmed through the insanity of the Westgate system and to be sure the owner was honest. No worries, the owner has been doing this for years and the experience was completely painless, the owner knew all the answers and even the best air fares.
The things we really like about this resort is the ski in/ski out, easy to rent equipment, pretty good restaurants, THE HOTEL SHUTTLE IS GREAT (no car needed), spa and pool, snow board instructors, and utter lack of brain damage from idiot staffers (YEA).
We had no trouble getting the little ones into ski schools and day care, Mom went snowmobiling and took the adults up to a Yurt dinner on the mountain top (snow shoes!), plus we all went tubing, to movies and once to urgent care. Great place, great vacation, we'll certainly go again in a couple years.
I see these recommendation checks at the bottom--don't see this for "adventure seekers" unless you think boarding or skiing is adventurous, no idea on pet owners, a disabled ski vacation depends on the disability, and though there are many sights to be seen, it is NOT armchair sightseeing.
Owner will provide upon request additional information about activities including links and local contact info. Local activities in addition to skiing:
• Horseback riding:
• Murder mystery theatre on historic railroad train:
• Snow-mobiling: Westgate concierge can make the arrangements for you
• Mormon Tabernacle Choir: free and open-to-the-public rehearsals one night a week, in Salt Lake City, Thursdays at 8:00 PM. Call in advance to make sure they are in town.
