About Hope Lindholm

We were married in 1988. We have 5 children, 2 of which are over 20 years of age. We enjoy snowmobiling, boating, jet skiing, fishing, ATV's, travelling. Our oldest child has moved out, the next oldest will be moving out within a year ... there are two teens still at home as well as a 7 year old. Relationships are important to us and we love trying to make good memories with our children.

Hope Lindholm purchased this mobile home in 2001

Why Hope Lindholm chose Minnesota

In 1999, an Alexandria area plumber/realtor came to work part-time for our plumbing company in the Twin Cities. We had 3 children & were dreaming about how fun it would be to have a lot on a lake. He told us he would help us find one. We saw several but found this one to be the most appealing. The lot had lots of shoreline and was on a pretty decent fishing lake. The most appealing was that it was almost level with the lake, which was fabulous for our 3 small children, the youngest being not quite a year old. We put a camper on it for the first year, which was the beginning of many getaway lake weekends. After a year, we decided to put a brand new double-wide manufactured home down, which we absolutely loved! In the years since, we've had a 4th child, many family reunions, friend reunions, and many memories. Unfortunately neither the house nor the deck is new anymore, but still adequate for hanging out at the lake.

If you like spiders...this is your spot

  • 1 of 5

This place was overrun with spiders! I vacuumed up hundreds of spiders and webs before we were able to move our things in, and then we slept with one eye open. We showered with them, found them in the kettles, no place was safe from them! We left a day early because of them!

A nice family getaway

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed a long weekend at this home. Everything was just as the owners have stated and they answered all of our questions ahead of time so we knew what to expect. We rented a pontoon and were able to go fishing a few days and our son caught a nice bass and a big sunny. The public landing is right next door, so that was very handy and was not super busy. We would definitely stay here again.

Nice little Modular home with all of the amenities needed.

  • 4 of 5

Our stay was very nice. All the accommodations were as stated. The only real complaint I would have is that the bugs were horrible. We were unable to have a campfire at night because at sunset they were out in full force and no 40 deet would even slow them down. I would recommend bringing a fogger out to spray for bugs if you plan on having a get together at night outside. The cleaning list is very extensive for charging $150 to clean but yet you are responsible for a long list of detail cleaning plus laundry. If this was a refundable charge along with the damage deposit I would completely understand. Overall was a very good time and we had a great stay. Thank you Lindstrom family!!!

Labor Day Weekend Get-away

  • 4 of 5

We had a beautiful Labor Day weekend stay at this wonderful vacation home. Owners are very friendly and helpful. Reasonably priced for a family gathering with children. There is a huge yard to set up bean bags, horseshoes or whatever and beautiful lawn to set up tents and a camper or two. The area is very spacious and the neighbors are quite far away so you do not feel like you need to be quiet as to not disturb them, even though they seemed quite friendly with a wave as they drove by. Unfortunately, it was very windy so we were unable to use our boat, but the kids enjoyed fishing off the dock. Also just a couple miles down the road, on the calmer side of the lake, there is a city campground with public access for the boat and also a public beach which was much calmer. Overall it was a very nice stay and will do again if it works out for us.

We did have one concern though which I addressed to the Owner and they appreciated the feedback and said it was on the agenda for repair. Nice to hear.

Annual Family Vacation

  • 4 of 5

We had a wonderful stay in this very nice lake side home. It was large enough for the whole family, including our kids, their spouses, and grandkids! We rented a pontoon boat from the nearby camp and spent the day relaxing on the lake. The only down side was that the fishing wasn't very good, but we're pretty sure it was due to the long, cold winter.

Great get away for familie and friends!

  • 5 of 5

Had everything we wanted and the fishing was pretty good too. The cabin has cable, wifi, good condition and enough beds and couches for 13. We had 7 and were very comfortable. Campfire at night, beautiful deck, nearby bait shop where you can rent fishing boats or pantoons. I would suggest renting those ahead of time just to be safe.I'll definitely be visiting again, great owners!
