We were married in 1988. We have 5 children, 2 of which are over 20 years of age. We enjoy snowmobiling, boating, jet skiing, fishing, ATV's, travelling. Our oldest child has moved out, the next oldest will be moving out within a year ... there are two teens still at home as well as a 7 year old. Relationships are important to us and we love trying to make good memories with our children.

In 1999, an Alexandria area plumber/realtor came to work part-time for our plumbing company in the Twin Cities. We had 3 children & were dreaming about how fun it would be to have a lot on a lake. He told us he would help us find one. We saw several but found this one to be the most appealing. The lot had lots of shoreline and was on a pretty decent fishing lake. The most appealing was that it was almost level with the lake, which was fabulous for our 3 small children, the youngest being not quite a year old. We put a camper on it for the first year, which was the beginning of many getaway lake weekends. After a year, we decided to put a brand new double-wide manufactured home down, which we absolutely loved! In the years since, we've had a 4th child, many family reunions, friend reunions, and many memories. Unfortunately neither the house nor the deck is new anymore, but still adequate for hanging out at the lake.
We had a wonderful stay in this very nice lake side home. It was large enough for the whole family, including our kids, their spouses, and grandkids! We rented a pontoon boat from the nearby camp and spent the day relaxing on the lake. The only down side was that the fishing wasn't very good, but we're pretty sure it was due to the long, cold winter.
Had everything we wanted and the fishing was pretty good too. The cabin has cable, wifi, good condition and enough beds and couches for 13. We had 7 and were very comfortable. Campfire at night, beautiful deck, nearby bait shop where you can rent fishing boats or pantoons. I would suggest renting those ahead of time just to be safe.I'll definitely be visiting again, great owners!
The cabin slept all 7 of us (plus 2 toddlers) comfortably. Nice kitchen, great lake for swimming, never gets deeper than 6 feet 200 ft from the shore. Cabin has great Wifi, Dish TV, fire pit, good dock, town 5 miles away and campground 2 miles away with beach and small general store. Would definately recommend for cheap relaxing getaway!
This place is great!! We reserved this place last year and it was perfect. Large cabin and lot in a very secluded area. Great lake too! Was very easy to reserve and will definately stay again.
