|Minimum Stay||4 nights|
We are delighted to offer you private, self-catering accommodation in our Italian holiday home, a beautiful 2 bedroom ground floor apartment in a complex with swimming pool and amazing views of Lake Garda.
Set in the Parco Alto Garda, these beautiful protected green parklands with their terraces of olive trees are set on the west side of Lake Garda and Le Begonville 2 nestles amongst the terraces in front of the small village of Tresnico.
Le Begonville 2 offers a true home from home, with every facility for a comfortable stay.
The living area has a comfortable sofa bed, Flat Screen TV with English TV Channels (with USB inlet for your personal USB stick loaded with your favourite films), DVD player, and iPod docking station. From here you can enjoy the wonderful views out across the lake through the ceiling to floor glass doors. Free Wifi is provided for guests to surf the internet and stay connected with social networking sites. However, we also provide a bookcase full with a choice of holiday reading books and family games.
Leading from the living area you will find the stylish Italian designed kitchen, fully fitted with dishwasher, microwave, fan oven, gas hob, coffee machine, large fridge and separate freezer. Indoor dining table with seating for 4 persons.
The main bedroom has a large double bed, bedside tables with reading lamps, lots of wardrobe space (with fitted personal safe) and a chest of drawers. A modern and stylish feel!
The second bedroom has bunk beds and is ideal for children, though adults will also be comfortable in this room as the lower bed hides a 3rd pull out bed which, when raised, converts into a double bed making sleeping space for 3 people. Toys and games are also provided.
The bathroom has a large shower cubicle, toilet and bidet plus wash basin, and is also fitted with a washing machine.
The outside terrace area has dining and seating for 6 persons and is equipped with a barbeque for outdoor grilling. Sun loungers are also available for relaxing on the lawn.
We provide bathroom towels and bed linen, but you will need to bring swimming pool towels with you.
The apartment sleeps a maximum of six people and has a travel cot for baby if needed.
My husband, son and I had an amazing two weeks staying at Le Begonville 2.
After the short drive up the mountain we arrived at the tiny hamlet of Tresnico where the apartment block is situated. On checking in you are greeted to breathtaking views over Lake Garda which are truly stunning.
The apartment itself is everything as advertised, exceptionally clean with all the amenities you would need. It is also very well catered for young children with a vast library of DVD's, books and games which kept our little one entertained for hours.
We also spent hours in the pool which again is well catered for children with an abundance of inflatables and toys while also sharing the views over the lake should you just want to relax on a lounger.
Although a car is required to get around the lake there is still plenty within walking distance; San Michele is a 15 minute walk up the hill and offers the best pizza I have ever eaten and a 20 minute walk down the hill is Il Vittoriale and a number of trattoria offering excellent food.
Further afield there is so much to do, short drives to Gardone or Salo where you can eat and shop all day (highly recommend the Salo market) or on the other side of the lake where you have Garda Land and the Sealife Centre (for the kids... honest).
All of these and much more are covered in the welcome pack that greets you and I look forward to going back to do them all.
Le Begonvilles is within walking distance of probably the best tourist attraction on the lake: Il Vittoriale, the home of eccentric poet Gabriele D'Annunzio. Also easy to get to are the beautiful botanical gardens, Giardino Hruska Botanico, which contains tropical plants and displays. 10 minutes downhill by car takes you to the historic lakeside towns of Gardone Riviera and Salo, both with delightful promenades lined with designer boutiques, restaurants, and cafes.
Fashionable Milan, historic Verona, and romantic Venice are all possible day trips. Gardaland and other theme parks are 50 minutes away, the opera house at the Arena di Verona is 60 minutes away, and the designer stores of Milan are just 1 1/4 hours away by train or 1 1/2 hours by car.
The nearest village with a small grocery store and a couple of restaurants is 1km uphill. You definitely need a car for this property but for enthusiastic walkers several good local restaurants are within a 20 minute walk.
