You CAN come to the mountains and relax!
New master bedroom and bathroom added! It's beautiful! New laundry room! 2nd flat screen tv (60") added. More deck area added overlooking Mary's Lake!
My quirky, cozy little home (1,500 sq ft)is sitting on a knoll over looking Mary’s Lake in Estes Park, CO. It is available for your Rocky Mountain getaway.
Only four miles from all the events and shopping of down town Estes. Available for Memorial Day and Labor Day Craft Shows, Rooftop Rodeo, Scandinavian Festival, Scottish/Irish Festival, Elkfest, on and on.... The Cottage is just a 5 minute drive to the south entrance of Rocky Mountain State Park for all the hiking, fishing and outdoor activities you can think of. You’ll be seeing elk everyday and even get to pet one if you like.
There are 22 feet of floor to ceiling windows for a clear view of glorious mountain ranges. The beautiful, glistening Mary’s Lake can be seen from this bright, high ceiling living room. You can walk down the hill to the lake for picnicing, fishing for trout and wading. Wild elk and deer are known to walk right up to those windows to munch the grasses.
The wrap around deck is great for sipping your morning coffee in a beautiful setting and perfect for sitting out at night under the moon and stars – The stars seem so close you might think you can reach out and touch them.
The kitchen is at your disposal and a grill outside is perfect for the barbeque chef. Three comfortable bedrooms give plenty of room for sleeping. There is a queen pillowtop bed in the master bedroom with 50"flatscreen TV. There is a pillow top full bed in the second bedroom and the third bedroom has a full bed with a comfort topper. A gueen Aero bed is available. There is a 60" flatscreen TV in the living room with Direct TV and plenty of DVD movies to watch. Wireless internet is available for those who can't leave the computer home.
Your small doggies are welcome, too! So, bring the 'whole' family! Just let me know who's coming. There's plenty of empty space outside for walking and playing with your doggies.
HOPE TO HEAR FROM YOU SOON!

Thank you for the use of your charming home. It was our first experience with VRBO and definitely something we would like to try again. I hope you or your guests can utilize some of these coupons.
My family and our little dog had a wonderful stay at this beautiful and immaculate home! We particularly enjoyed the breathtaking scenery from the comforts of the wrap-around deck. While the online pictures are certainly lovely, they simply cannot do justice to the phenomenal views of the mountains AND Mary's Lake. One must experience them in person! The llama and elk farm next door was an added bonus. It was fun to watch the animals (including the wild elk that wandered into the yard). Overall, the setting of the house was perfect, as we loved being a part of nature while also being so close to downtown Estes Park.
Jane is a fantastic hostess, and we very much enjoyed meeting her upon our arrival. It was easy to see that she takes great pride in her beautiful home. My family and I have stayed in many other places in Estes Park during our annual visits, and we feel as though we have found a true gem in Estes Valley Cottage. In the past, it has been a bit stressful to find the "perfect" house that is clean (as we admittedly have very high standards in this regard), conveniently located, and dog-friendly. Estes Valley Cottage is the whole package. We will be returning again next summer!!!
Thank you very much Ms. Fox for allowing my family to stay in your beautiful home for an extended weekend to celebrate the Super Bowl (Yay, Broncos!) and my son and brother's birthdays! Your house was very clean, full of all necessities and had the top of the line appliances and was beautifully decorated! The only complaints that I heard was that the beds were not all that comfortable and were small. On a good note, your 60" television was PERFECT to watch the Super Bowl on which was a huge demand of my husband! :) We all agree that we would definitely consider staying at your house again and/or recommend it to others.
The LeDoux's and Sterkel's
We absolutely loved Estes Valley Cottage. The cottage had absolutely everything that you can imagine needing, the beds were very comfortable, and it was just as beautiful as the pictures. We loved seeing the deer - as many as 10 at a time -- in the mornings. They would simply walk in the trees in front of the cottage. The views from the cottage were spectacular. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone.
Beautifully-decorated, comfortable, upscale-but-down-to-earth home...perfect for weekend getaway or more. Lovely views from inside (lots of windows) or from the gorgeous wrap-around deck. Newly remodeled master bath is luxurious - wonderfully plush towels and sheets. Kitchen has everything you need and more.
We're already planning a return trip next summer!!
Jane is a wonderful hostess! We loved your beautiful home - and the location is perfect! It's nice to be in Estes but away from all the noise and hubbub of that downtown area. There is a llama farm right next door, but you'd never know it (no offensive odor!)
Before one even gets in the front door, the wrap-around deck with the beautiful plants and all the seating just draws one to linger outside. And the living room - the floor to ceiling windows shows beautiful views of the mountains and large glimpses of the lake. And at night with the lights off, the moon and stars look amazing. The master bath is really nice - so nice in fact that I'd like to copy a few of the details for mine.
I really do wish we had a longer stay. Next time will be at least a week!
Jane, thanks again! Colette
This property is exactly what my husband and I were looking for. Nestled on the side of a mountain with 360 views of the range, we were able to watch the sun rise in total peace and quiet every morning (aside from the Elk baying in the distance; a more than welcome sound.) The pictures are extremely reflective of the property, yes the place is as immaculate as it appears. The house has clearly been redecorated with a new addition and brand new bathroom. Everything was clean and in order, the owner Jane was extremely responsive leading up to our trip and giving us necessary details and welcome recommendations.
The property is only a 5 minute drive to the entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park. We stayed Thursday - Sunday and hiked all day both Friday/Saturday. We also grabbed dinner in town both of those nights (again, only a 5 minute drive down the mountain) but stayed in and cooked on Thursday, a more than doable option with the kitchen and grill.
Overall, this is exactly the type of place you want to stay -- you get the remote & rugged mountain vacation without the expense of having to stay in cabins or dingy quarters. Thanks for a great trip, we will be back!
