We are from Tallahassee Florida. This is just a fantastic place to relax. Gorgeous water and the most beautiful sugar white sandy beaches in all of Florida. Plenty of fishing, golf, and an eighteen mile bike path for the perfect run or bike ride. Turn on to 30A and feel the stress leave your body.
Steve Becker purchased this condo in 2010
We consider Blue Mountain Beach to be one of the most beautiful areas in all of Florida. The natural beauty of the area is amazing. We also enjoy the many fantastic restaurants and shops along 30-a.
Sandestin, with all of its outlet stores and endless supply of restaurants, is only a short drive.
We loved our vacation that we spend in this beach condo. Adagio is lovely. Condo is very clean. We cooked in the condo for the majority of our meals and we had everything that were needed. Grocery store just a couple of minutes away. We enjoyed the perfect view from the balcony on the pool and fountain. Walk to the beach was very enjoyable and much closer than we expected. We spent lots of time on the beach, water was perfect. Mexican Gulf gave us variety of experience from big waves to nice and calm relaxing water. We loved it all. Steve let us use his beach chairs that we love. We enjoyed our week on the beach and we are planning to be back next year. It was wonderful experience. Also, one day we rented bicycles and went on the ride around Santa Rosa. It was great.
Our first time at Santa Rosa area, we had a wonderful gathering with daughters and grandchildren. The unit was very well decorated with comfortable beds, grandson loved the bunk area. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cooking pots. The owner had games and books in the unit and said we could use their chairs and boogie board, if we rinsed them off (we did). Seems like all we did was eat out at local restaurants, we walked: Redd's Fueling Station, Nicks on the Beach, Marie's Bistro and Blue Mountain Creamery. The bridge was out but it didn't keep us from walking across on the foot bridge and eating at Local Catch (a little pricey) and Buddy's ice cream. We all loved the area and would like to come back again. The only thing I could say negative was steps down to the beach, again it didn't stop us, we knew this before going. The balcony, pool and beach were great, we had a relaxing fall break. Thank you for sharing your condo with us.
We've been staying at Adagio for more than 10 years and it seems that every year we end up at a different unit. Sometimes facing the beach; other times, poolside. We nevertheless always have a great experience, and this unit was no exception. We have four teenaged children and there was still room for two more in the "bunk rooms". The Owner was pleasant to work with and was very accommodating. The unit was very clean and all appliances and fixtures worked perfectly. The beds were all extremely comfortable and no one had a single complaint! We cook often to save money so having appliances that work as expected is always a big plus. The outdoor gas grills were all functioning correctly this year so we were able to cook-out several times during the week. Because this is more high-end, we don't have to deal with the loud, boisterous people in the hallways or on the beach. Though smoking is allowed on the beach, there were no smokers during our stay, which is just a personal pet-peeve of mine. No obnoxious music or "partiers" on the beach like you're used to seeing at Panama City or other "very affordable" venues. Just a bunch of families with kids wanting to have a relaxing week. It's great having the new Publix 10 minutes away on 98, as I was getting frustrated with WalMart and its super-tight aisles. We had a great, relaxing week and I'll continue visiting Adagio for as long as it remains within our family's budget.
We have been going to the Destin gulf coast area for several years. We stayed in Destin proper, until 7 or 8 years ago and decided to move down the beach to 30A due to the traffic and over commercialization. We have stayed in Seaside and Seagrove up until this year. The traffic in and around Seaside has gotten so bad that we decided to try the Adagio and we are glad we did. The condo was exactly as advertised, nicely furnished and well maintained. The complex is also well maintained. The unit is on the 3rd floor just off the elevators, which I was worried might be a problem although my girls who slept in the rooms closest to the elevator said they never heard any noise and it did not bother them. It is definitely convient to the beach being in the D building. The balcony is great, very large and encompasses the entire width of the condo. If I had to say anything negative, the beach was a little crowed but there is not much you can do when the complex is virtually full. I had also seen a review where someone was unaware that there are stairs with several steps leading to the beach. She said it was difficult with small children but you will get that no matter where you stay along 30a and there were several families with small children staying there. Finally, the Blue Mountain Beach area is very quaint with an expensive but awesome ice cream shop called Blue Mountian Creamery, a must go if you like good ice cream. Also, Blue Mountain is close to the new Publix on 98 and not that far from WaMart on 98 as well. We have decided the Adagio is where we are going to stay next year. One last thing, the owner is very nice and helpful. He responds quickly to questions and was a pleasure to deal with during the rental process.
Our recent vacation to Adagio was amazing! The property has a "tuscany" architecture that is gorgeous and truly makes you feel like you are in another place. This condo is spacious, very nicely decorated with high end cookware and appliances; fabulous balcony overlooking the "Vegas" style pool area, and only steps from the sugary white sands. We were pleasantly surprised at how well maintained this property is - Adagio staff are walking around the property constantly. Mr. Al was our favorite new friend, and he was very helpful with dinner recommendations. The location of Adagio was also perfect for our family of cyclists. We rented bikes one day from "Big Daddy's" and rode to Seaside to explore and have ice cream (about 4 miles from Adagio). My husband (the "real" cyclist) rode all the way to Rosemary Beach one morning. We were also fortunate to experience the cooler temperatures (85 daytime highs) during our stay - a really nice treat for mid-June. Our 18 year old son and his friend enjoyed the fully equiped fitness center which overlooks the spacious hot tub area near the pool. I can't say enough about how fortunate we feel to have found Adagio. Our sincere thanks go to Steve and his family for sharing their beautiful condo with us. We can't wait to return in the future, and we will definitely recommend Adagio to our family and friends.
The beach is unbelievable...the water was crystal clear and they have enormous pools and even a hot tub. It was a little cool out the first day, but all my kids were swimming in the heated pool on the ocean side...this was clutch. There seemed to be a lot of people in the complex, but nothing was croweded...very relaxing. We use to go to Seaside and Water Colors, but I think the Adagio is a lot more relaxed, the beach is right there and a fraction of the price.
I've stayed at the Adagio 4 times and although I've never found a place I didn't like, some are better decorated, stocked etc. This place had a brand new fridge that stays cool even w/ all my little ones opening the fridge every two min...if you've stayed here before you know what I'm talking about...the Vinkings in some of the units get warm.
The condo was spotless, the beds were comfortable, flat screens in all the rooms...just well done. The kitchen was also well stocked...for example, they have a blender, everything you need to cook with including grill utensils which is a big plus for me.
Overall pleasure to deal with...many thanks. I'll be back.
