LIVRE D'OR : spontaneous mails sent by our residents this year :

Bonsoir Helany,

back home I just wanted to say once again thank you for a wonderful time at Plouzeoc''h. You have a wonderful house with a really gorgeous garden/park. At the pond we saw fishes, frogs, a great blue heron/grand héron and some animals living on the island (otters/loutres? musquashs?) On the road just some meters away from the house we saw a badger/grisard crossing two times when walking the dog. And of course deers/chevreuils on the fields aside.

Plouzeoc'h is a really nice little village with an outstanding bakery. We tried some pastries and the suggested kouign amann. In Dourduff we got oysters - at the restaurant to avoid handling them on our own. Worth another try.

The area around Morlaix is really nice, especially as it is not as crowded as at the côte de granit rose/ Aod ar Vein Ruz ;-) , where we went for a day trip.

Have a nice remaining summer

Dear Helany

Sorry it took some time to give you a feedback from our stay in manoir-de-keristin.

It was very nice in any means. We have simply enjoyed the rooms, the garden, the little lakes, watching all the animals we have discovered, the quietness, your winter garden, your books, your terrace.

We where for two weeks very happy house owner . We where very happy with the inventory, every things was needed, it was there.

It was obvious that somebody was spending a lot time in the house, because it was arrange with taste and its feels very comfortable. We have checked most of the books form your cupboard and believe that you where traveling to most of these countries.

We have enjoyed your garden a lot and one of our activities was who discovers a new animal. We have counted over 40 different birds and also many amphibians around the house and in the lake. We have also noted that you do a lot for the birds around the buildings, giving options for breeding. The highlight was of course the Nutria-Family living on the island. It was so nice to see them eating grass and swimming around. There would be so many things to tell, but whatever, we had a very good time at manor-de-keristin.

If the distance would not be so big, we would rent definitely more often manoir -de-keristin. But it is 1200km from Lucerne.

We would like to thank you for giving us such a charming house for renting.

We hope to have again the opportunity to rent your beautiful manoir-de-keristin

Best Regards

OP (Suisses, 5 people, 2 weeks, July 2015)

Hello Helany

Sadly we have left Manoir de Keristin now and would just like to tell you that we had a wonderful time.

The people in the village were so friendly and your next door neighbors were so helpful to us.

We are in Paris one night one our way to Russia, only time to de hire the car and catch the plane next morning.

Maybe one day we will see you in Perth. You are welcome any time.

About Helany

Thanks to our profession, we visited many regions in France and rented many houses everywhere in the country.

Lovely property in beautiful grounds. Fantastic region of France which we really enjoyed exploring.i

  • 5 of 5

The property is really lovely. It did have a few bits and bobs needing attention but nothing that affected our holiday. The website was incorrect in that towels and linen are Not included, perhaps this should be made clear. Otherwise it's a good, spacious property in a beautiful garden (all sloped so no good for football, but ours played on the sports field in the village!) with a large pond at the bottom. The village is easy walking distance and has a tabac, smashing bakery, restaurant and small supermarket. Main supermarket is 15 minute drive away in Morlaix.

We had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed both the house and the region.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your message Karla, You have enjoyed our beautiful and large property. For the linen the interface of the site to be filled by the owner did not seem to you very clear, this has been corrected. However, you were not surprised, because I told you, among other things, about the linen, in my welcome email I send you before your arrival. Our one-hectare park is not a football stadium, indeed, but a site created by two English landscapers who build it from the manor with an English perspective that looks towards 'pond. There is a large lawn and a large yard, and residents benefit greatly for all their ball games during their journey. It is with pleasure that we will receive you again in our property that you and your family loved and in this region where there is so much to explore.

A Beautiful Home in a Beautiful Country Setting!

  • 4 of 5

This the ideal place to get away from it all, in an old country home, modernly renovated, quiet, and yet close enough to the coast, the city of Morlaix, and all the sights of Britanny. At the end of a country lane, it is within walking distance of the small village of Plouezec'h - with a bakery, small but very convenient grocery store, and a wonderful crepe restaurant. The house itself is well outfitted with modern conveniences, is clean, and very spacious - and the backyard large, scenic, and a very private garden with a creek and pond at the bottom of the hill. We enjoyed our stay in this very old country-side home.

Wunderschönes Ferienhaus mit großzügigem Garten

  • 5 of 5

Was soll man sagen..... eigentlich war der Urlaub in diesem Ferienhaus perfekt. Alles, was man braucht, ist in sehr gutem Zustand vorhanden.

  • 5 of 5

  • 5 of 5

It is located close to the beaches, the Morlaix Bay with its many islets, its Château du Taureau and its Breton “Fort Boyard” and the Cairn of Barnenez, one of the most important megalithic monuments of Europe.

With the Monts d’Arrée and the forest of Huelgoat, it is a world of histories and legends

The sailing school as well as the scuba diving club are only 10 minutes away

If you prefer horse riding, there is a club 5 minutes away

Surfers and kitesurfers well know the spots of the region and many of them come to Morlaix and its surroundings to practice these sports.

The beautiful beaches where families get together are along the steep coastline. Children will play during hours in the ponds.

Those who love fishing from the shore will not be disappointed. Very close are the beaches where you can fish clams and velvet crabs.

The Sentiers des Douaniers that go along the unspoilt coastline offer hours of unforgettable hikes. The region is rich in calvaries and Breton churches including a very famous track that allows you to discover the most impressive ones.

Morlaix, medieval town with museum, old “maisons à pondalez” (half-timbered houses), boutiques, restaurants, cinema and amenities is only 8 minutes from the house.

When you arrive in Coat Amour, you will be halfway between the sea, the beaches, the wild coastlines, the Breton culture, the moor and the mysterious forests.

This is only a brief overview of thousands of reasons that will make you discover this area where farmers and sailors combine tradition, innovation, courage and sharing.
