The Antler Creek House is a great place to make your home base, then go out to explore the many natural wonders and points of interest of the Pikes Peak Region.

If you golf, the 15th green of the Antler Creek Golf Club, one of the most challenging public links-style courses, is right in your back yard. The Club House/Creek View Grill is only three blocks away. Providing 6 sets of tee boxes, the course can be enjoyed at all skill levels. Feeling pretty good about your game?--try the black tees and see what 8058 yds feels like! Summer rates range from $30-$52 with cart. The Antler Creek Golf club has three lakes, 73 bunkers, wide playable fairways and large greens. There is also a putting green and driving range. The course is normally open from April 1st through October 31st. There is a Pro Shop and Restaurant open to the public on the premises. Call 71-494-1900 for your TEE Time and GREEN Fees.

With a 30-60 minute drive, there is an abundance of activities. You can start up the 26 mile auto road to the summit of 14,110' Pikes Peak (try the hot doughnuts or take in the 50-mile 360 degree views) in your car. If you would rather, ride the cog-railway to the summit. Visit Santa’s North pole workshop. See the famous Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and the Will Rogers Shrine. Stroll through beautiful Garden of the Gods and the Visitor's Center. Explore Cave of the Winds. Take a walk through history in the Manitou Cliff Dwellings' replica of the native Ute Indians pueblo-style adobe village. Visit the U. S. Air Force Academy. Take in a class AAA baseball game. Looking for more? The Denver area is only one hour away! If you are visiting family or friends in the Military, the Peterson Air Force Base is within ten miles of the home. Shopping and restaurants are only a few minutes away.

The free, multi-purpose MERIDIAN RANCH RECREATION CENTER is only two blocks away. In the summer, play and swim in the outdoor pool with lap lanes, water slide, and a graduated entry shallow area. The indoor center includes a fabulous pool with lazy river and hot tub. Work out at the fitness center and weight training facilities using state of the art exercise equipment. If you are willing to drive roughly 2 hours from the house, avail yourself of other exciting activities: white water rafting, high-country mountain jeeping, hiking, exploring old mining towns, zip lines, fishing, the Royal Gorge, or just enjoying breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks. Southern Colorado is a treasure trove of outdoor activities for the entire family.

The Antler Creek House has five bedrooms and three and a half baths. It sleeps a maximum of fifteen people. Here are the sleeping arrangements: Upper level Master Bedroom: King sleigh bed and a spacious bathroom including shower, double sink and walk-in closet. Bedroom 2: Set of bunk beds with double on the bottom (sleeps three--recommended for children). Bedroom #3: Queen. Bedroom #4: Queen. Bedroom #5 is on the lower garden level: King plus Queen Sleeper sofa sleeper.

The Lower level home theatre seating includes a Queen Sleeper sofa. The lower level also has a hall bath with shower, wet bar, and pool table. (The two sofa sleepers are recommended for children).

The main Level has a living room, dining room, kitchen with island, breakfast nook (views of Pikes Peak and the golf course!), family room with TV, and library with desk, inspirational books, and games for the entire family. The main level also has a half bath and laundry room.

From the back deck you can enjoy the majestic views of Pikes Peak, watch the golfers putting on the 15th green. Enjoy putting on your own private putting green in the back yard. Bring your favorite CD for listening enjoyment on the house audio system.

About The Owner

Julie and I have lived in the Colorado Springs area for over 40 years. Shortly after we were married, we moved to the Bay Area of California as a young professional couple. But, having both grown up in Colorado, we wanted our kids to know their grandparents, enjoy the mountains, and have the advantage of growing up in a wholesome community. So, although as a couple of twenty-somethings we loved the opportunities the California lifestyle had provided for ourselves, we decided to move back to Colorado for the sake of our kids and have been here ever since. We have never regretted that decision.

The Owner purchased this house in 2004

Why The Owner chose South Central Colorado

The Antler Creek house was built as a model home by a well known local builder. We were impressed by the upgraded finishes and furnishings throughout the house, as well as the floor plan. We also loved that it was located on a great public golf course and in a recreational community within walking distance of the rec center. So we made the investment!

We had the house professionally decorated and supplied it as if we and our extended family were to vacation there ourselves. As a result, the positive feedback we have gotten from our guests has been most satisfying. Many of them have returned--thank you all!

What makes this house unique

We live in Colorado Springs ourselves, so we don't vacation in this house. So we had the house decorated with good quality furniture, furnishings, and conveniences as if we, ourselves, were staying there. For example, we wanted everyone to be able to eat at the same time as a family rather than in shifts, so there are place settings and seating at a table or counter throughout the house for everyone to eat simultaneously. And we invested in the same quality mattresses and towels/linens as we have in our own residence. We have the house professionally cleaned after each guest.

The house is great for family-oriented conversation and activities. Besides the open floor plan which enhances the feeling of togetherness, the home theater, pool table, wet bar, private putting green, library with over a hundred books (many of them inspirational), WiFi, and home audio the house it self offers, the convenient Golfing at one of the most challengining public courses West of the Mississippi, the private recreation center with basketball, workout areas, ping-pong, foosball, air hockey and swimming pool, all combine together to offer a great family vacation experience. The house itself has a picturesque setting, with a pond and the 6th green of the Antler Creek golf course in the foreground and majestic Pikes Peak as a backdrop. You can even see some snow-caps in the Sangre de Cristo range 100 miles away on a clear day!

Wonderful home for family get together!!

What a great experience! Everything was very well explained prior to our arrival. The house was nicely laid out and wonderful accommodations for everyone!! One suggestion I would have is to put drapes on the doors at the top of the stairs. The adults who stay in the room might want some privacy.

Superb rental

This was our first time renting a house for vacation. We were apprehensive about the process.

The house was fantastic, better than I even imagined. Don was accommodating and super easy to work with. Everything was just as (or better ) than described. The whole experience was flawless and made for a wonderful vacation for our whole family. The rec center was excellent and the staff accommodating. I definitely will book again thru VRBO and hope to visit Colorado Springs again soon.

Very nice, comfortable and a great neighborhood.

This worked out great as a home base for our son's lacrosse tournament over in Colorado Springs. I only wish we had time to play the beautiful golf course right behind the house!

A Beautiful Fit

My husband and I recently visited the Springs for a friend's wedding, and we were looking for a place where we could stay with a group of friends. Mr. Wilkin was a pleasure to work with, and the home is absolutely beautiful. It was spacious and perfect for fitting all of us in. We really enjoyed our stay, and are looking for any excuse to come out and visit again!

A Great Property for a Large Group

We very much enjoyed our stay at your home. The home and location were ideal for our family. We found things clean, comfortable and very "live-able". We found plenty of kitchenware for our crew and nice to have "start up" supplies as far as paper goods. It was especially nice having access to the club house and pool. Our only concerns were 1)the pullout sofa bed in the downstairs bedroom...we found it no where near comfortable for anyone to sleep on and 2)the back deck...very concerned about splinters for the kids feet and more important we felt the railing on the porch would NOT pass a safety inspection. That would be our top priority for repair.

We have installed a new 5" memory foam mattress on the sofa sleeper, and the deck railings have been tightened and reinforced.
