Ideal ocean view Waikiki beach unit #1514 in the desirable Ocean Side Tower #1 is located just one block from the famous Waikiki Beach and has direct view of beach and ocean. This corner unit is 10% larger than regular Banyan units at over 650 sq.ft. Condo was remodeled in December 2010 with high end granite in kitchen, bath and shower. Also, new carpet, new paint and new travertine tile flooring in kitchen, bath and lanai. New couch also!! Unit is clean and comfortable and has a great lanai for watching sunsets, surfers and beach goers. There is also a full separate kitchen with everything you need to cook and serve a complete meal and or entertain. For beach goers, we have beach chairs, snorkels and kids beach toys for your use so you do not have to rent or buy these items. For grillers and chillers, there is a huge pool deck with BBQ's, tables, pool and jacuzzis, snack bar and big kids jungle gym. Less than a 5 minute walk to Waikiki's main beach, the zoo and Waikiki aquarium and centrally located to give easy access to all the fun, shopping and dining this ultimate location has to offer. $135 rate is for stays of 7 days or more in low season.
The Waikiki Banyan was recently updated and remodeled throughout and has full time security. There is a vacation resort atmosphere at the Waikiki Banyan and the many onsite amenities include pool, spa, BBQ facilities, putting green, tennis, volleyball, sauna, children's play area, snack bar, convenience store and ample sitting areas for dining and relaxing. As an added bonus, your rental includes snorkeling gear (2 adults and 2 children), beach chairs, mats, beach towels and many other useful items for your stay! Please feel free to ask for any special items that will make your stay more enjoyable.

We choose the Waikiki Banyan to purchase a vacation condo because of the ideal location of the property (quiet, close to beach and on zoo side of Waikiki), the top notch amenities and updated building, and reputation of Waikiki Banyan as a preferred vacation destination for repeat or annual vacationers!!
The benefits of renting our corner unit 1514 T1 is the beach, ocean and mountain view, large floor plan the corner units have (100 square feet bigger than other units!), separate kitchen with view(only corner units), updated and remodeled unit with high end materials (granite, travertine tile, new carpet, new furniture etc.), and extras like snorkel gear, beach chairs, beach toys to save your money from having to rent. Unit also has wifi for secured internet.
Finally found a place we'll definitely return to...My family visits Oahu at least once a year and usually shop around for condos but will never search again after finding such a great place for a fantastic value. The Banyan is awesome with the pool and spas, a snack shop and convenient store. Laundry machines are also a bonus but the secured parking spot really takes the cake. Jeff couldn't be better to rent from and that's one of the main reasons I'll return for sure; he was on top of everything and really went out of his way to make sure our stay was pleasurable. He checked in the first day and when I mentioned a small inconvenience of the bathroom door not shutting all the way, he was out in hours and fixed it quickly (even though I told him we didn't mind at all, he insisted for our benefit). The place is more than spacious and we are a family of 3. Nice view of the ocean and in the perfect location (I don't want to give it away but this side of Waikiki is the best on the South shore). Walk to everything you want except the North shore practically. The condo doesn't have top notch everything like brand new furniture and floors but it's more than you'd expect for the price and perfect for my taste. The king size bed in a bedroom that actually has a door to close is hard to come by in Waikiki and quite comfortable. Snorkel set and beach toys really help travelers like me so we don't have to lug around all the extra gear at the airports. The staff onsite are actually really friendly which I've found rare in the area from past visits at other venues. Jeff responded promptly and courteously to all the questions I had before and during the trip even though I know I would've annoyed even the most patient of people with the amount of back and forth I put him through. The recycling and trash and laundry room are right next door so you don't have to go all the way to the basement to get the job done which is super convenient. Kitchen has everything you need plus some like even a rice cooker. My wife is very particular about many things but even she had nothing to complain about. Go ahead and book that perfectly remodeled ocean front view place and pay out the butt for it, I'll be back here and most definitely will have a way better experience. Oh, and my deposit came back in full even quicker than advertised; another annoying issue you can face when not dealing with people of Jeff's caliber having to pester the owners before getting what's owed to you.
We've stayed in Honolulu hotels before but never again; for a family of four this condo beats them for value and flexibility. Only 1 block to the beach and right on Kuhio Ave where there are a ton of small shops and restaurants but without the crowds on Kalakaua Ave. Getting in and out of the building by foot or by car was easy. The building is very well staffed and secure. There is a basic convenience store on the ground floor next to the elevators but there are ABC stores outside on almost every block. Laundry room is literally right across the hall. It's a corner unit that is nice and breezy with good ventilation and a nice lanai. Maybe the unit could use a microwave but other than that it's just about perfect. Wish we had found this place sooner. Highly recommended.
This was my second visit to the condo and I stayed for four weeks. Very nicely located in Waikiki Banyan. Ocean view. This is a corner unit with extra windows and cross ventilation. The a/c is newer and upgraded and works great but rarely needed. I have vacation rented many of the Waikiki condos over the years and this unit is definitely one of the best. The kitchen and bathroom are very nicely remodeled and stocked with all the basics. The owners are always available if you have any questions at all. Don't hesitate!
We enjoyed our stay here. Very nice location! Condo nice and roomy. View was great. I would stay here again. No extra charge for parking, which is not normal in Waikiki. Plenty of towels and supplies. Kitchen was nice. Only thing that I could say that could be improved is that there are some minor repairs that could be done, but that wouldn't keep me from renting from them again. Deposit returned promptly. Great location to everything with everything you need to make it a great vacation! Jeff has supplied the beach stuff, love it and the view is perfect. Unit is clean and all that you need is there! You are right across the street from the Trolley Pink line that will take you directly to the mall, Wal-Mart, Ross's, Don Quixote, you have a tour desk downstairs to book those day excursions! Laundry facilities right across the hall -it does not get better! 6th floor has a pool, barbecue area and tennis court
The first thing we noticed when we walked in was the large size of the condo. Also immediately impressive is how bright and cheery it is. The corner unit with windows on the south and west side makes for some fantastic light throughout the space. The condo was spotless and looked newly painted and remodeled with comfortable new furniture. The layout is spacious with a separate bedroom, fairly open to the living area with large sliding doors. The kitchen is separate from the living area and is well equipped with everything you need. We enjoyed many meals in the condo. With the windows and lanai door open there is great ventilation throughout the unit. The area is quiet enough to sleep with everything open and we never needed to use the A/C.
The Waikiki Banyan is in an excellent location at the Diamond Head end of Waikiki. Kapiolani Park, with all sorts of interesting activities and functions is only a short walk away, as is Queen's Beach, a good swimming, surfing and beginning snorkeling beach. The zoo and Aquarium are also just a short walk away. The building also has a very nice recreation deck on the 6th floor with a swimming pool, hot tub, putting green, BBQ area, tennis court and a snack shop that serves some interesting looking dishes, although we didn't try any.
The ground floor has a small convenience store that has a surprisingly varied selection, including the cheapest beer we could find in Waikiki. There is also a small cafe with a variety of snacks. It also has wifi and a couple of computers and a printer. We printed our boarding passes there. We had marginal wifi in the condo from Shakanet, a free ISP. A couple of choices of paid wifi are available.
The condo has a free inside parking available, which is not that common in Waikiki. We didn't have a car but used the bus extensively. The bus system is one of the best in the world and there are bus stops within a block or two where you can catch a bus to almost anywhere on Oahu for a nominal fee ($1 per ride or $5 per month if you're over 64, $2.50 per ride otherwise).
All-in-all, this is a great condo and the best floor plan in a splendid building. We recommend this building and particularly this unit for an exceptional vacation in Hawaii.
