|Minimum Stay||7 - 180 nights|
Five bedroom, two bath, completely furnished home within walking distance to the prestigious Bonnet Shores beach and close to the other beautiful beaches in Southern New England. Enjoy the waves of the Atlantic or just relax on the decks of this home.
Just bring your towels and linens, everything else is here for you. Your home away from home includes free wireless internet, a dishwasher, microwave, toaster, toaster oven, coffee maker, TV with cable, dvd, Ipod dock, washer & dryer, ceiling and standing fans and five air conditioners. There is plenty of living space with two living rooms, 3 couches.The house includes a large deck with furniture, and a gas grille and outdoor shower.
The house is in a quiet well-kept neighborhood. Close to grocery store and pharmacy. Short drive to state beaches. Very nicely decorated & plenty of room. The private fenced in yard is shady and safe for kids. Pleasant area for walking, biking, jogging.
Well equipped kitchen with quality appliances.
Wish we brought our bikes. The only drawback is that the private beach has no parking - drop off only. And no facilities. This is where a bike would have been helpful: Drop off the family & go back to the house & ride your bike, back. Definitely more than a .5 mile walk to Kelly Beach. However, don't let that deter you from this choice. Plenty of options with Scarborough, Narragansett & Wheeler Beaches close by. I would definitely rent this home again.
*Note: The picture of the deck is on the back of the house, off the Master Bedroom. Very quiet & pretty. No access to the yard from the deck, which makes it very private.
The pictures of the bathrooms are reversed. Upstairs is a full bath with a tub. Downstairs bathroom has a generous walk-in shower.
Plenty of closet and drawer space throughout the home.
Attractions: We went into Point Judith & ate at George's of Galilee, twice. Fun shops & Ferry there.
Went to New Port - Easy to get there. Lots of shops & restaurants. Recommend The Red Parrot Restaurant & Classic Cruise Lines where we took a sunset cruise on the Madeleine, a 70 ft. Schooner. Only $35 per person & included complimentary, beer, champagne & soft drinks.
Close to the house is Brickley's home-made ice cream shop - a must do!
Just minutes from casual and fine dining, shopping, golfing, fishing, kayaking, boating, biking and hiking. Kids enjoy miniature golf, bumper cars, batting cages, go carts and bowling. See a fishing village in operation in Galilee where you can buy lobsters off the boats and enjoy beautiful sunrises and sunsets over the ocean. Have dinner on the docks or buy fresh fish to cook at home.
Ferry from Galilee to Block Island. Spend the day exploring, shopping, biking or swimming. Historic Newport featuring fine beaches, sailing, shopping, cruises, waterfront restaurants and tours of magnificent mansions is just a 20 minute drive as is the quaint village of Wickford. Take the fast ferry to Martha's Vineyard. Drive 40 minutes to Providence to eat at world class restaurants on Federal Hill, tour historic museums and homes on the East Side or take in a show in the theater district. Try your luck, shop, dine or take in a show at the Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods Casinos just 40 minutes away.
Other Activities: sightseeing cruises, charter fishing, movies, ice skating, shopping, golf, bowling, miniature golf, bumper cars, batting cages, casual and fine dining
