Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your BEAUTIFUL home. We enjoyed our trip! Your home is so well furnished we enjoyed cooking and grilling and eating on the patio (BUG FREE!) with the whispering pines in the distance. We loved everything about this place the home, the views, the location, the community of Custer! We hope to come back next year! Thanks again!
Well taken care of. Quiet, beautiful scenery, view was the best in the Hills.
The Lodge was all log .location great also , short drives to areas for Grandkids to play.
Morning sunrises off deck was almost heaven. Custer State Park just five miles away so touring did not take a week. We drove in every day to see different sites.
Simply stunning property with all the amenities and comforts of home. Spacious yet cozy. Quiet nights on the deck swinging and staring at the stars can't be beat. This home is amazing but you can't stay long because there's so much to do!! Close to everything, restaurants, grocery stores and local shops as well as Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Sylvan Lake, & Mickelson Trail.
Great for families or groups. Perfect for entertaining. Can't say enough!
My family and extended family stayed here and were very happy with everything! There were 10 of us total ranging from 4 years old to 60 something. The proper is spotless, beautifully decorated, comfortable, wonderfully stocked kitchen, and has beautiful views. We loved the bonfire area which is tucked into the mountain side. The views were amazing. the location was very central to everything we wanted to do. The owner was helpful and very nice to work with. Perfect experience!
Great house and location. Wonderful owner. We had four couples, and it worked beautifully. The four bedrooms each have their own private bathroom. The bunk room bathroom can be used by others but can be shut off for privacy as well. A half bath on the main floor is handy. Wonderful spaces up and down for families/groups to mingle as well as a wonderful deck with table and chairs. Kitchen is great. Good sign when you don't want to leave!!!!
We stayed for 3 nights at the end of July/beginning of August. The house is very spacious and open with an enormous deck. It has ample seating with a large dining room table and bar. Everything was in top condition, and well-stocked. Lots of cookbooks, and a huge selection of board games if you happen to have any down-time.
The house is very convenient to Custer, and to the sights in the area. It was a matter of a few minutes to get to Sylvan lake, which was wonderful. The owners were very responsive and obviously take pride in the property.
We just spent a wonderful week at Moonshine Lodge! Our travel party consisted of 3 families of four- a total 6 children ages 10-15. Every single one one of us had a great time. The house and surroundings are absolutely beautiful and we had everything we needed. Sylvan Lake was one of the highlights of our trip and we were just minutes away. Every other adventure was a short drive and well worth the travel. We are already missing our home away from home. Thank you, Kelly for a perfect vacation.
