About the property

Condo, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6)

Come experience paradise! Our two bedroom Condo is a spacious (1380 square feet) end unit that lets the warm glow of brilliant Florida sunshine into every room. Thanks to our great Gulf Front location, there is a view of the Gulf from nearly every room. The best place to watch the sunset is from the comfort of the beachfront lanai.

The Eden House is a recently remodeled Gulf Front condominium. Use the trolley stop in front of the Eden House to reach the island restaurants, shops, open air cafes, and souvenir shops. The Eden House condominium building offers an upscale vacation getaway of your dreams.

The swimming pool has been upgraded with a redesigned brick paver patio and pool surround area. The Condo grounds have been completely re-landscaped creating a setting of tropical beauty for residents and guests.

When not sampling the seafood cuisine of local restaurants you can prepare your meals in our fully equipped kitchen. You can pack light thanks to the stacked washer/dryer unit in the kitchen. The master bedroom has its own walk-in closet, king-size bed, TV, and private bath. The guest bedroom has a queen-size bed and a full wall of closet space. With the sleeper sofa in the front room, the Condo will comfortably sleep up to six people.

You have your private parking spot conveniently located under the building. The Eden House is located near the south end of Fort Myers Beach (Estero Island), far enough from the bustle of the Times Square shopping area to provide a quiet retreat during your stay.

As many of our guests have said, this is the perfect place to unwind- especially if your idea of a perfect day is to lounge at the pool or relax at the beach. Then choose between selecting one of the fine island restaurants or staying in for a home cooked meal. Read a book on the lanai (bring your own or select one of ours) or relax in a comfy recliner and plan your tomorrow.

If you are like us, you will find yourself taking daily walks on the beach, each day wanting to walk a little farther than the day before. For the ultimate walking enthusiast, walk the seven miles of white sands beach from the Eden House to the Times Square shopping area. But remember to carry a quarter with you so that you can ride the island tram back to the Eden House.

If you brag that your backyard grilled steaks and seafood are the best in the world, see if they don’t taste even better when grilled just before sunset on the beach at the Gulf of Mexico. Carry your grilled pride and joy a few steps from the Eden House grill to the thatched roof tiki hut and enjoy your meal at the picnic table while taking in the view of the lights of Naples and the island of Sanibel on the horizon.

So come and enjoy watching dolphins, sailboats, and sunsets from Eden House 306. Stay for a week, a month, or forever!

About The Owner

My wife, Pam, is a retired school teacher and I am a retired Chemical Engineer. Our daughter Katie and her husband, Paul, have four children so our beach vacations to the condo can include a variety of activities.

One minor regret that we have is that after we bought the condo we loved it so much that we stopped vacationing anywhere else. But since we've retired, we have the time to enjoy traveling to many different places.

The Owner purchased this condo in 1998

Why The Owner chose South Island

We bought our condo in the Eden House for a number of reasons. First and most important is that the condo is beachfront.

Secondly, the unit is an end unit in the building with windows in every room. Other condos that we looked at were interior units that were 'tunnel-like' with windows only at the opposite ends of the unit.

The condo is also relatively large with 1350 sq ft of floor space. There is elbow room for everyone even when six people vacation together.

The Eden House is also beautifully maintained and landscaped.

Finally, it is on the south end of the island. This is the 'quiet end' of the island away from the commercial attractions on the north end of the island. These attractions are simply a trolley ride or car ride away.

What makes this condo unique

The lanai (Florida speak for porch) is screened in and directly overlooks the Gulf of Mexico. It is large enough to accommodate our six wicker chairs.

No need to leave your unit to do your wash. There is a washer and dryer in the kitchen laundry closet. You can obviously pack much lighter knowing that doing your laundry is no inconvenience whatsoever.

Great vacation spot away from busy Fort Myers (but right in FM)

  • 5 of 5

This was a great vacation spot for my family. Being spring break, we were not the only young family at the pool. The residents we spoke to were all retired so there seemed to be a lot of older people here. The lagoon is before the beach so it is a bit of a walk to get to the ocean but we loved the little beach right in front of the condo. In the morning we got to watch pelicans and other birds fish in the lagoon while we drank our coffee. We even saw crabs in the lagoon! The condo itself was roomy and suited our needs but does need a little TLC as some wallpaper is peeling, a minor leak under the sink, etc. Our king sized bed was very comfortable but the master bathroom is a bit of a tight squeeze (probably not easy to use if you have a physical handicap) but the bathroom across the hall is larger and more accessible.

Overall, we loved our stay. The beach was not packed and we even had access to chairs and umbrellas with a wheel cart to pull it all out for our beach days. Contact with owners and property managers was always helpful and pleasant. May not be a place for families with very young children or toddlers as there is a lot of glass and it is not necessarily set up for young kids. It was perfect for our elementary and teenage child. If you are a couple or have older children and are laid back, I highly recommend this condo. If you have very young children, check to make sure that this condo has what you would need - this might be perfect for you too!

Also, if watching the sunset is something you enjoy this condo is the perfect spot! We had an amazing view from the condo, the beach in front of the lagoon and the ocean beach area. One of the residents even blew a conch shell at the sunset. We went down the road to Doc’s one night because it was so highly recommended and I think the view from our beach was the same if not better since there were less people. The natural beauty of the area surrounding this condo is not to be missed!

We loved our stay and would recommend !

Beautiful Views on the Quiet End of the Island

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed the quiet south-end location of the condo. There is an inlet in front of gulf, but beach access is just a short walk around. Condo furnishings are old and it could use a face-lift but we felt this rental was still an outstanding value for the price. We highly recommend renting a bike, as the traffic on Estero Blvd.heading to Times Square can be at a standstill during peak times. If you are in the mood for take-out Italian there is a fabulous little deli tucked away in the shopping center across the street called Francesco's. We've been to Ft. Myers Beach every Christmas for the last 3 years and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Both Jack and Nesbit Realty made this stay so easy and both were very accommodating.

Beautiful Gulffront Condo

  • 5 of 5

This two bedroom condo is on the "quiet" end of the island.

The screened lanai is large enough for four or five people to sit and eat. You have a washer and dryer in the unit which means that you can pack light.

And you get a perfect view of the sunsets from either the beach or the lanai every evening.

Peace and Quiet

  • 5 of 5

This is the perfect place for relaxation. It was very peaceful and serene here. The view was great. The owner was very responsive. This condo has a direct view of the Gulf. I picked this condo because it was away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Ft Myers Beach. I used this location as a great area in which to go from one fishing spot to another.. This is a large condo.
