Cozy cabin on the river.
We had a nice stay at this cute cabin. It was right on the river which provided a beautiful view. We spent a lot of time on the balcony. We enjoyed the loft bed which was comfortable with nice linens. Close to Weaverville which is where we went for lunch. I would recommend this place to friends.
This is truly a retreat. We wanted to take our our sensitive German Shepherd away from fireworks during the 4th of July and give ourselves a little R&R. Beautiful property and cabin. The pictures here don't do it justice. My favorite thing was the loft sleeping. The bed is platform and firm but soft; there are windows on each side of the pitched ceiling that made for a yummy evening breeze and the gentle sound of the rolling river. We used the firepit in the evening with a beer and the morning with a cup of coffee. It was truly like a great camping experience, except with modern amenities and comfort. It was amazing. And so was the owner, Justin. We really have not seen customer service like that in a long time. We have a bit of a glitch upon arrival that could have ruined our trip, but Justin literally rushed the rescue and went above and beyond to not only fix the glitch, but to make sure any memory of it was sent packing. Thank you, Justin! Totally lovely, relaxing experience.
Cabin at rivers edge.
I wife and I spent one night at this wonderful little cabin. Justin is very communicative & helpful. The cabin is clean and well equipped
Quaint little cabin
The cabin was clean and had all the amenities needed for a stay by the river. Justin communicated very well and made sure we had everything that we needed. If you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing trip, this place fits the bill!
Exactly what we NEEDED!
This was our third visit here, and we keep coming back for the wooded quiet and privacy, as well as for the beauty and the oh so soothing sounds of the Trinity River which is only a few yards away from the rustic cabin, and only a few feet away from the outdoor riverside patio with firepit. You can sit around the campfire listening to the sounds of nature and the river, while slow cooking amazing ribs over the fire.We live in a densely populated area and really miss these quiet pleasures, as we are usually surrounded by folks who are always stressed out and in a big hurry (like we are when in that environment). We always see deer wandering around. They are so curious about us. They look like they are asking us "Who are you, and what are you doing here?" They are so beautiful, gentle and curious. You can fish in the river easily from this spot without having to drive anywhere if you don't feel like it. Good fishing here. Everyone we have met in the town/local businesses, has been very friendly and helpful with any questions we might have. Can you tell that we just love it here and hate to ever leave? If you want to get away from it all, then this is the spot. The friendly owner, Justin, is very helpful if you have any particular needs or questions. Two things to know: no cell phone service (but there is a land line in the cabin), and you do hear cars and trucks going by on the highway which runs close by the cabin. However, all the other beautiful and peaceful things here negate that (for us, anyway). Can't wait to return again. Hate to leave...loved our stay very much!
Jayne is such a pleasure to host! I love that she maximized the time at the cabin by enjoying cooking on the firepit and soaking in all of the nature and the river. This review... I couldn't have said any of it better myself! This is such and amazing and popular cabin to get away from it all. I am looking forward to having her back again for the fourth time!
Only 10 minutes from Weaverville, CA on the bank of the Trinity River. Activities include phenomenal fishing, rafting, kayaking, SUPing, birding, and nearby hiking and cycling. The Trinity is a year round fishery featuring wild Steelhead, Salmon, Rainbow Trout, and German Brown Trout. Nearby Trinity Lake, Lewiston Lake, and Whiskeytown Reservoir feature placid waters perfect for a lazy paddle or even more fishing opportunities. Our cabins are also only 30 minutes from trailheads leading into the wild and breathtaking Trinity Alps Wilderness. Of course, you can always just relax and take in the beauty of the river and surrounding hills. Bald Eagle, Osprey, River Otter, and migratory bird sightings are very common, as well.
