My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Beatrice's very convenient apartment. It is just a minute or two walk to the Creole Village, Anse Mitan, the marina, and the inlet beaches. There are numerous restaurants, shops, grocery stores, and rental cars companies as well.
The view from both balconies were just as fabulous in person as the pictures portray on the website. I LOVE the cute little kitchen that has all you need to nestle into your stay. The welcome basket of coffee, fruit, sweets, and rum and juice was very appreciated!!
My favorite inside part of the apartment was the cute but tiny second bathroom. When you live with someone who goes to bed and gets up at different times than you, that 2nd bathroom is all important! I also enjoyed the reading nook upstairs. It is a great place to unwind and relax for a bit.
The grounds of the apartment complex were well kept and lush. The pool was just the right size to take a quick dip and swim a few laps. The beach and dock right below the apartment were wonderful and a great place to read a book, or enjoy the hummingbirds, pelicans, lizards, and crabs go about their business while you look on.
The apartment manager, Nadine, went above and beyond her call of duty. She helped the poor non French speaking couple wrangle a car rental mishap and make reservations for Le Samcielo ( this restaurant is a MUST! It is only a 10-12 min. walk from the apartment and is #6 of 703 restaurants in Martinique on TA!). Nadine also left us some snorkeling gear and offered us advice on where to go and what to do on several days of our 10 day stay.
Overall, I would rent this apartment again and would love to visit Martinique again!
Every amenity was provided as was every request answered by owner Beatrice and capable ass't. Nadine
Both Beatrice and Nadine speak French and fluent English which helps in a strange land! Nadine met us at the appointed hour and unhurriedly walked us through the workings of the apartment, tv, wifi, washing machine, gated parking, etc. We were impressed to find most consumables were on hand (paper products, spices, soap) in addition to a welcome package of rhum, coffee, juice. The building is surrounded by restful gardens with a small swimming pool that are maintained daily and a dock leading to a rocky shore. Situated on a hill, the location is quiet and within walking distance to a variety of good restaurants and the plage where one should look for Jeff to rent chairs and umbrellas, otherwise scarce.
There is sufficient light within the rooms and an abundance of appreciated storage space. Bedding including beach towels were fresh as was the apartment spotlessly clean. Beds were firm as was sleeping deliciously sound.
Were we to return, we would stay here in a heartbeat. Again, thank you Beatrice and Nadine.
A wonderful place to spend a week on this beautiful island.
The apartment was modern and kept very well. We had some minor problems which were fixed almost immediately by the manager Nadine who was beyond helpful.
The two bedrooms were perfect for the three of us and it was so nice to have a second bathroom. The view was spectacular, the sunrises beautiful and the two patios were a lovely place to eat and relax. We used the pool daily at the end of the day and there was rarely anyone else there. The apartment waa supplied with beach towels and mats which most hotels didn’t supply.
We enjoyed the proximity to many stores and restaurants so we didn’t have to drive often. On the other hand, the location was good to drive to many beaches, most less than 30 minutes away. I would highly recommend this condo to family and friends.
Perfect place to stay when exploring Martinique
Le Taino is a lovely, comfortable and quiet apartment with a beautiful, peaceful view. The balcony offers perfect sunrise views; a pool, patio and dock on the water give the building private ways to enjoy a sunny day. The tastefully decorated apartment easily accommodated our family of four and comes with every amenity needed for ease and comfort, including a washing machine. The location cannot be beat for getting to lovely beaches close by or for access to the main roads that lead to every desirable site on the island. The hosts were responsive to our questions and requests. Our stay could not have been more pleasant. We would highly recommend Le Taino and hope to return one day soon.
Stayed in Le Taino, an excellent option in Pointe du Bout - probably the best location on the island
After traveling all around the island for 11 days I beleive Pointe du Bout is one of the best, if not the best, location on the island for vacationers. The center of town was purpose built to look like a colorful little creole village. There are a dozen restaurants and a similar number of shops, a Marina where many of the island excursions go out of, as well as the ferry over to Fort de France, and even a beautiful little set of 3 or 4 coves with crystal clear water that make up a great beach option all within a very short walk.
This apartment building itself was within a few hundred yards of the village but you'd never know it. Once passing through the gate into the beautiful and heavily landscaped courtyard, it was like an oasis from the hustle and bustle of the village. And sitting on the units patio overlooking the beautiful Caribbean waters, you''d think you were the only property there. The building has several units but you'd never know it as no sound seemed to pass through the walls and Le Taino was on the top (3rd) floor.
In addition to the shops and restaurants in the village, there is also a little convenience store and a nice little french style bakery (part of a chain on the island called "The Baguette Shop" as I recall. We also found 2 large supermarkets about 20 minutes away. We stocked up the kitchen for coffee and breakfast and an occasional lunch and dinner. Having a fully equipped kitchen made this easy and convenient..
To get to the beautiful little beach walk past the village shops & restaurants towards the marina. Just as you get to the marina, turn left and walk up the side street a few hundred yards. When you reach the water turn right and you'll find 3 or 4 beautiful little coves with shade from palms, and great swimming and snorkeling. You can sun and swim in the back yard and there is a nice swimming pool as well which is convenient but we preferred the nearby beaches.
For us, this was a mid winter escape from a cold climate. We'll miss sitting out on the patio and enjoying the private setting with views of the sailboats anchored in the little harbor while having coffee in the morning, planning our day or winding down in the evening after a busy day and just enjoying the warm air and beautiful trade winds that seem to constantly blow through the place.
I can easily recommend Le Taino. A great little option in what might be the best location on the island at a grreat and very reasonable rate.
Excellent at all levels
Great location with a great view from the master bedroom, living room and 2 outside patios
Well maintained and decorated. Complete kitchen with all you might need
Very nice people to deal with and great service. Veru close to all services and boutiques
Je recommande fortement cet endroit.
