Plenty of room for 5 couples.
We were so happy to find a place to house our immediate family of 5 couples and Michael was very responsive from beginning to end. Gorgeous views. Lots of space for all of us in the common areas. The house is not new but was comfortable. Would rent again.
Perfect for multiple families
We had a great time. The home is in a beautiful spot. It accommodated three families and all of our activities from Parent's Weekend at Norwich University to College tours of UVM to Frisbee Tournament in Dartmouth. We enjoyed the main area with the fireplace each night as a communal place to gather and share our adventures. The house was fully equipped with everything needed for the stay and the instructions were specific and easy to follow. We will return.
Perfect spot for all of us!
This house was everything I was hoping it would be. I booked it site unseen for our 25th college reunion. We had 5 couples, 2 singles, and 6 children. There was plenty of room. Everything was functional and the scenery was beautiful. We had a bonfire at night and hung on the large deck overlooking the mountain. Decor was rustic and a bit dated, but I would book it again in a second for what we paid. Also, owner was very responsive and helpful. I highly recommend it!!
A great holiday in a stunning location.
We arrived at The Last Resort after a long and tiring journey from the UK and were delighted to find a beautiful and well-equipped house in a tranquil woodland location with stunning mountain views from the huge picture windows. Our host had left clear advice and instructions about the house and the cupboards were well stocked with essentials. He checked to see that we were happy and offered to answer any questions about the local area. The Sugarbush resort area with its bars and restaurants is a five minute drive away and the local towns, Waitsfield and Waterbury are not too far off and should meet most of your local needs. Our grandchildren loved swimming in the nearby Mad River water hole and there are a range of walks and trails of varying degrees of difficulty. We loved our stay in Vermont and the Last Resort was an ideal base for an excellent holiday.
An Amazing cabin in the beautiful Green Mountains!
I contacted Michael, the owner, looking for a family cabin that could offer space for my extended family of 14, great views of the Green mountains and good proximity to the best swimming holes the Mad River has to offer. We were so happy that we chose this cabin- it's truly a magical place nestled in the mountains with beautiful decks, balconies and even a Ben and Jerry's room that the kids loved! Michael was responsive, warm and truly a pleasure to connect with during our stay. I can't recommend this cabin enough- truly a home for your time in the Mad River Valley.
Wonderful VT Getaway
Perfect house for our friends wedding at Sugarbush. Kids and parents were over the moon.
