About Bob Kesner
I grew up both about 35 minutes north if NYC and western rural CT Went to college at a "small Ivy" and enjoyed diversity throughout my 4 years there that helped inform me about other cultures, perspectives, etc. Love the outdoors and many other outdoors' pursuits--hiking, gardening, horseback riding, biking, skiing, being with dogs (I also play competitive tennis thanks to my living in CT) I am huge on great customer service (reviews for this and my place in Mexico will attest to this), being friendly, outgoing, honest (I do not over-promise). I travel a lot, too, and have gained a empathy as a result. I have also done home exchanges, the last one was with a European couple who adored staying here.
Bob Kesner purchased this House in 2001

Bob and Andrea's house was cozy, comfortable, inviting and warm with views of the Adirondacks. Our daughter was graduating from Middlebury and this house became the central point for all to relax in between events. We cooked and celebrated with college friends and family. The kitchen was a joy to cook in, every imaginable tool is available. The kitchen even has a view of the mountains and living room When "the cooks" were in the kitchen we all felt as of we were together with the folks in the living room. Beds were comfortable and private, everybody had their own space. We will be back in late summer for another celebration - a wedding this time. We looked forward to seeing Vergennes in its summer glory.
The Seattle family who stayed here in early February 2017 wrote a lovely review. We thank them and are very appreciative.
We also want to say that they were great and respectful guests and left the place in such excellent condition I wondered if they had been here at all!! So, thanks to them and look forward to seeing them in late August for their wedding celebration.
Absolutely beautiful setting
We stayed for Middlebury graduation weekend. We enjoyed the bicycling and running from the house, cooked dinner in the well stocked kitchen, and enjoyed breakfast in the Adirondack chairs with a spectacular view over the landscape. Everything was clean, comfortable and well maintained, plus close enough to the college for activities. Thanks to Bob for being a wonderful host!
This is the third summer that we've enjoyed staying here. The setting is spectacular, with beautiful views of rolling green hills, cows, mountains and lots of birds. The house is comfortable, well set up and has everything you need. And veggies from the garden are a treat. Vergennes is a lovely town and it and the surrounding area have lots of nice restaurants and bakeries. And cruises on Lake Champlain are fun. This is a great place----which is why we keep coming back!
Privacy, beauty and comfort in Vergennes
The house is a unique design, all clean lines and modern comforts. There is plenty of natural light as the windows are large to show off the beautiful views. The location is very private, a plus for early morning swimming in the fresh, weed-free pond. The kitchen and baths are well-equipped. The patios are lovely. The whole place is clean as a whistle. This is a great place to relax, to read, to simply enjoy the view. It is located few short miles from the center of Vergennes. The owners are a delight. If you are not set on being lakefront on Lake Champlain you could not do better than this.
We greatly enjoyed our stay! The setting is beautiful--views from the deck with mountains and rolling hills in the background are terrific and the bird feeders attract charming visitors. Vergennes has great restaurants and we enjoyed exploring other nearby towns as well. Finally, the owner was very thoughtful and responsive.
All together, we loved staying here and recommend it without reservation.
Thank you very much for your kind words.
My wife and I have been renting properties on and off for more than ten years and always strive for the very best for our vacationing friends.
We look forward to having you stay here again and/or telling your friends about your stay, too.

Great Get Away
This is the second time that we have rented this property for vacation. This is a wonderful house, well appointed, well equipped, peaceful and quiet, and close to great shops and restaurants. The property is beautiful and the vegetable garden is spectacular. The owner is accessible and so pleasant to deal with. Our two dogs loved it as well.
Look forward to returning.
