Charming fully fitted apartment: cable, phone, indoor courtyard in Les Chartrons
This comfortable 56 m² apartment which is the secondary residence of the house is located on the ground floor of a traditional house from Bordeaux built in 1928 right in the centre of the very sought-after area of Les Chartrons. It is located in a quiet street very close on foot to all amenities:
Shops, restaurants, cinemas, theatres, public transports within less than 5 minutes (tram and bus) and bikes provided by the town of Bordeaux on the same place.
The Quais de la Garonne are 10 minutes on foot with many events and activities of all sorts:
Cycle and roller skate paths, Fête du Fleuve, Fête du Vin, etc. Every Sunday morning, the market of Les Chartrons that also takes places of the Quais is very famous amongst local and tourists.
The apartment consists of a large 25 m² living space, a fully fitted modern kitchen, a beautiful bedroom opening onto the private courtyard and a bright bathroom with walk-in shower.
A very large entrance opens onto the living room from which you can access a very nice courtyard planted with trees where it is pleasant to picnic when the weather is good (entire garden at your disposal).
Geographically, the apartment is half-way between the public garden and Place Paul Doumer that both are a few minutes away from the accommodation.

About Dan Morel
Former industry executive retired to the Arcachon Bay located 60 km to the South-West of Bordeaux. I purchased this accommodation in Bordeaux as a secondary residence to enjoy from time to time the pleasures that this beautiful town has to offer (shows, visit of the Châteaux du Bordelais during the open days, strolls and different events such as the Fête du Vin for example (I am a wine amateur and I particularly love the Bordeaux wine)).
Dan Morel purchased this Apartment in 2004
Why Dan Morel chose Downtown
I am now 76 years old and with my wife, we go to Bordeaux much less often, so my accommodation is more often available. Renting it gives me the opportunity to cover maintenance costs, taxes and different property taxes and to keep this property (that my children will inherit) in perfect condition.
What makes this Apartment unique
The main assets of this residence are: The touristic attraction of the town of Bordeaux that was recently listed “Most beautiful town of France” right after Paris. This ranking is optimized by some areas of Bordeaux that are listed UNSECO World Heritage. The proximity of the Bordelais vineyards: some are even in the close agglomeration such as the famous “Haut-Brion” located in the neighbouring village of Pessac. The proximity of the sea and the stunning Atlantic beaches located around 60 km from Bordeaux The residence “Les Chartrons” which is an area famous for its art of living is located in a very quiet street yet very close to many amenities. Tram and bus within 3 minutes on foot from the house Shops and restaurants are also very close The bustling Quais de Bordeaux are within less than 10 minutes on foot. From there, you can access the Cité Mondiale du Vin and its huge covered car park. The famous Place des Quinconces, the greatest of Europe, as well as the tourist office are within 15 minutes on foot. The latter organises many activities for all tastes: boat cruises on the Garonne, visits of vineyards and their château, visit of the town by small train or during a carriage ride, etc. The Public Garden within 3 minutes from the apartment is ideal for beautiful walks in the nature or to go jogging for sport lovers. Finally, the value for money compared to equivalent offers in the same area is not negligible.

A beautiful ground floor appartment, garden, in the beautiful Chartron area.
Dan and Dany were the consummate hosts. Charming, helpful and full of information related to this most beautiful part of Bordeaux. The appartment is fully equipped with some luxurious extras ... fresh flowers, lovely wine and food in the fridge for a weary traveller. I felt so secure and happy here for a wondrous week in Bordeaux. Thank you Dan and Dany and your lovely daughter as well.
A lovely apartment in the charming area of Chartrons.
We really enjoyed our stay in this well equippped apartment. Close to some lovely restaurants and bars in Chartrons district. A lovely welcome pack was provided for our arrival. We will definitely stay here again if we come back to Bordeaux.
A charming apartment with excellent hosts who provided us with everything we could possibly need.
It was a pleasure to meet Dan and Dani. They were great hosts. Their apartment is in an excellent location only a short walk to all amenities.
Really convenient for tram and town centre. Easily walkable too, both to the town centre or Le Citie de Vin - beautiful stroll along the promenade. Apartment had everything required (including the likes of dishwasher tablets, teabags, coffee, oils, spices, etc). Dan and Dani were wonderful hosts who stocked the fridge with wine and food to keep us going on arrival and for breakfast the following day. Restaurants locally available too which was great after a busy day exploring. A wonderful city, lovely apartment and very kind hosts. Many thanks, Hazel and Andy.
Beautiful town, very cosy apartment!
The apartment was very comfortable! Extremely well equipped, and our hosts were very welcoming! Situated in a quiet neighbourhood, it is close to shops and the tram! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!
Home from home
Beautiful apartment in a lovely area, minutes walk to tram, shops and cafes, also to the lovely park. Tastefully decorated, fully equipped kitchen - washing powder even supplied, nice big bathroom with good shower. We had a really warm welcome from Dan and Danni, a bouquet of flowers and a nice bottle of red wine awaited us in the sitting room, beers and breakfast in the fridge-all unexpected and a lovely surprise. We arrived at 7pm and needed to get some shopping and Dan walked with us to the supermarket. We loved returning to the apartment in the evenings after exploring Bordeaux during the day. We will definitely recommend this apartment to anyone we know travelling to Bordeaux. Carmel and Dermot.
