Family Ski Weekend
I stayed here with my family of 5 adult children and their partners. This house was really perfect. Very clean and organized. Plenty of sleeping area's, everyone was very comfortable. The open floor plan on the main level was just great for spending time together after skiing all day. We drove to Stratton to ski daily, about a 15 minute drive. I would definitely stay here again.
Kelly and Steve are extremely responsive and an overall pleasure to deal with.
Lovely, well appointed
Our Group of 10 comfortably enjoyed long weekend ski trip at this home. It’s a cute house, quiet and clean. Steve and Kelly were very responsive. Would definitely go back.
Great place for large groups
We had a group of 12 people spend President's Day Weekend at the house. Kelly and Steve are super responsive and their accommodations were phenomenal.
Everything was as described/expected. We really enjoyed the common area (kitchen/dining room/living room) which is very open and great for hanging out after a long day on the mountain.
We were two families, 4 adults and 5 kids staying at Kelly's place for the long holiday weekend. Kelly was great to deal with. She was available to me if I had questions at any point.
The house is about 15 min from Mt Snow. So the location was great.
The house comfortably fit us all, with one person sleeping on the pullout sofa in the den and 2 girls sharing a full size bed.
When we arrived it was very dark and we had trouble finding the lock box. When we got inside the house it was a sweltering 85 degrees. We did find that the heat was erratic and we woke up to a very cold house early one morning. The pool table was a great activity for the kids. Although none of the pool cues had felt tips on them, a little bit of a bummer for playing. The kids went to the pool down the road once, which was another fun activity.
There was no bath/shower soap or sponge when we arrived. I prefer to have some toiletries at a house and didn't expect this. The kitchen was well equipped. A few more utensils for serving and cooking would be helpful. There were also no real serving bowls for pasta, etc. Just metal bowls. Again, not a big deal, just some small details.
The instructions for the house were very well laid out so that we knew exactly what was expected when we left. I would stay again, despite these small inconveniences.
Cozy and spacious ski house getaway with really lovely owners
I stayed in this house with a group for NYE weekend. We wanted a house where we could cook and enjoy plenty of space for board games and hanging out, and be close enough to the mountain that getting first chair wouldn't be a daunting thought. That's exactly what we got.
The house has plenty of space and is nicely laid out. The living room and kitchen have an open plan, which is great for group hangouts/cooking/eating. The fireplace helped make it even warmer and cozier.
To make things even better, Kelly and Steve were really fantastic. Probably the best communicators I've come across when booking a rental, and overall very kind people. When some of our group arrived Steve was blow torching the front steps to make sure they weren't too icy to walk up and down (the temperatures were hovering around -10 degrees that weekend!).
Only thing to be wary of when booking this house in winter is that if you're driving between Stratton and this house without 4 wheel drive and there's been any kind of snow recently, avoid Newell Hill Road. It's *very* easy to avoid and only adds about 2 minutes by taking Stratton Arlington Road instead.
I highly recommend booking this house for your ski vacation getaway.
Pleasant spacious home with comfortable interior and location can't be beat!
Enjoyed our stay for a short family get together. House was comfortable and clean... the location was great. Close to Mount Snow and other local attractions. Enjoyed a couple of great family meals which was why we selected this home for our get-away...Kitchen was 'user friendly' with readily available necessities. Older kids enjoyed the pool table, while the young ones had fun at the pool. Would recommend...Owners were responsive and helpful. Will return should we need a place to gather again. Pam and Steve

Additional information about rental rates
Linen Fee (optional) $100 Rates discounted for previous guests & mid-week stays VT Meals & Rooms tax is an additional 9% Beginning 11/30/16, we will sadly have to implement an additional damage protection fee. This $500 fee is absolutely 100% refundable upon inspection of the premises. We unfortunately had renters recently that chose to not abide by our terms even although they were listed and agreed upon in our rental agreement. Because they intentionally chose to not abide by our terms, the insurance company (CSA) deemed their actions negligent, not accidental, and we found out the very hard way that our property wasn't covered because it was in our agreement and the renter's chose to disrespect our home. We apologize for any inconvenience. In the over 12 years we have rented our family home, we have never encountered anything like this and hope to not have to encounter it ever again. We have had overwhelmingly wonderful families in our home, with many returning guests. A copy of your completed and signed rental agreement is to be forwarded to us by the time the last payment is made.
