Four Winds Retreat is located just three miles from Interstate 26, but you'll feel you've arrived in a lovely secluded cove on the banks of the beautiful Green River. As soon as you arrive, you'll hear the rush of the river and when you climb the stairs to the wonderful deck you'll appreciate not only the river, but also the beautiful mountain views.
Four Winds cabin is a newly renovated cabin that was built from poplar logs harvested off the property. Great care has been taken to preserve the rustic charm of the original cabin while offering all the modern amenities that are so welcome in our day to day life. The cabin offers a master bedroom with a queen bed and private full bath. A second bedroom offers two double beds and a full bath just down the hallway. Our third bedroom is in our newly completed basement and has two queen beds and a full bath. Also, in the basement , we have a lovely living area with a table full of games for family fun, areas to enjoy reading and comfortable seating to appreciate the beautiful mountain and river views. The upstairs den is cozy and comfortable with a lovely stone fireplace and a satellite TV when you feel the need to connect with the outside world. The kitchen is fully stocked for all of your cooking needs, or just head over to charming Saluda and enjoy the lovely dining experiences they offer.
The location and house were wonderful - I would definitely spend time there again.
The house was great! It was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. The outside area was beautiful and very peaceful! We very much enjoyed listening to the sounds of the river. The stairs out front were a little rough on some of the older family members because it was the only way into the house. The road getting to the house is very steep and curvy (just to warn anyone who may have motion sickness), but it was a beautiful drive! Other than that, we had no concerns and had a great stay! We ventured into Hendersonville for dinner one night at Binions, I would HIGHLY reccomend eating there! It was wonderful! Thank you again for your hospitality! McGahaHunterThomas Family
We had such a great time at Four Winds. The house is lovely, the pictures don't do it justice. We loved the two decks, fire ring & swimming in the river. The kitchen is open & easy, & there is plenty of room for relaxing. We sipped coffee and watched kayakers from the deck, & enjoyed the birds, sounds of the river & nighttime stars. We hope to come back again. Thank you!
Lovely mountain retreat. Enjoyed listening to the river from the deck.
Four friends trying to disconnect from our tech jobs and feel Mother Nature's rhythm. We listened to the river and stared at the stars. It was a perfect location and very comfortable accommodations. Thank you for sharing the magic of this place with us.
What a lovely and peaceful place to stay on the Green River in Saluda! Four Winds Retreat has everything we needed: plenty of space for our group of sorority sisters, comfortable beds, 3 bathrooms with plenty of hot water, great gathering spaces in the upstairs living room, downstairs den, back patio and front deck. The view from the deck looking at the Green River is absolutely beautiful and the sound of the river is so soothing -- What a great area the deck is to gather for afternoon cocktails too! The large fireplace in the living room is so cozy and the outdoor fire pit is great! Downtown Saluda is just minutes away with lovely little shops and restaurants! We especially loved eating at the Purple Onion for dinner Saturday night - delicious food and great music for entertainment! There is so much to do in the area and we cannot recommend enough that you stay at Four Winds Retreat! It is just wonderful! The owners were delightful to work with for our rental with great communication. We loved it and intend to return on a yearly basis, if not more!
