Great Holiday Home with lovely Private Pool
We had a fabulous holiday at Casa Oasi - the house was clean, well stocked and very individual. There are lots of quirky features which make this house a great place for a quiet break. The pool is very private and great fun for the whole family. Carlo was a very thoughtful host who was keen to ensure we had everything we needed during our time at his house. He also provided lots of information of places to visit, restaurants to use and tips for a day trip to Rome on the train! He also arranged for us to participate in a very lovely community meal at Toscolano which we all thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you for a great holiday
Charming countryside cottage-style house with truly stunning pool area
We had a fabulous time at Casa Oasi! It provided a perfect base for us (a family of 5 adults/ near adults) to explore the beautiful Umbrian countryside and stunning hilltop towns (Orvieto, Todi, Narni and Spoletto are all must-sees). The house adequately accommodated our party and is full of quirky character! The pool and surrounding area is a real paradise. Carlo was very attentive and helpful without ever imposing on our holiday. We would not hesitate to recommend the property - a truly wonderful place!
Quirky house, amazing gardens and swimming pool.
Very welcoming and comfortable house, well equipped (although no kettle!!!) and full of the owner's paraphernalia, which made it fun to look around. The lay-out of the house was unexpected and we got a few bumps on the head due to the very low ceilings of some of the door frames. Also, we were woken up by the passing local farm traffic most mornings, as the bedrooms windows are directly on the small road. On the very positive side, the mattresses were firm, there were mosquito nets above the beds and around all the windows, air-con in one of the bedrooms and fans in all of them: just perfect!
The swimming pool was a dream come true and the many steps to reach it through the gardens were manageable, although the very young and elderly might find them a challenge. The pool was a great size, the surroundings super clean, the many equipment were of high quality and we enjoyed peace and quiet and complete privacy: it felt like paradise!
Das Ferienhaus bietet alles was man braucht.
In Umbria, a region that has gained a name for being the green heart of Italy, tourism is growing because of the unfamiliar harmony between nature, antiquities, historic centres and culture. The quiet of the countryside, good provisions and an inimitable cuisine are the great draw. This region is less touristy than Tuscany and this is especially appreciated by many tourists.
Southern/centre Umbria forms an ideal starting point for enjoying the peace of the surrounding hilly and mountainous landscape and on the other hand making trips to beautiful towns like Todi, Orvieto, Narni, Spoleto, Perugia, Gubbio, Assisi. There are also numerous charming little villages – many of medieval origin - as Amelia, Labro, Spello, Norcia, Bevagna, Montefalco to visit. In many towns and villages you can taste local dishes or buy local wines and olive oil (generally of excellent quality). You can also easily visit – in day trips - famous towns and charming villages in the southern part of Tuscany such as Siena, Arezzo, San Giminiano, Pienza, Cortona, Sinalunga, etc. Many tourists visit also Rome from here (without staying in the city which is very hot in summer) once or more times. It is possible to go by car (journey of 1h-1h30) or by train from the stations of: Terni, Narni-Amelia, Orte & Orvieto.
We must not forget the mountains with some splendid woods, e.g. Terminillo (up to 2000 metres by car). In around 1 hour it is possible to reach the shimmering lakes of Bracciano, Vico, Piediluco, Bolsena and Trasimeno. The Mediterranean Sea (mostly sand beaches) situated between Tarquinia and Chiarone are 90-120 Kms away (around 1h20-1h40 driving). Near the city of Terni you can also visit the Marmore falls (165 meters, one of the highest of Europe), there is nearby also a rafting/canoeing/hydro speed centre.
