This chalet style home is 4 miles to Okemo in a private peaceful hilltop setting on eleven acres. Inside it is bright, spacious and tastefully furnished in natural wood. The main floor has an open 'great room' with cathedral ceiling and glass windows surrounding and providing unobstructed panoramic views. Fabulous sunrises. The master bedroom/bath with jacuzzi tub are on this level. Upstairs has a loft with futon couch and two bedrooms with bath. Downstairs is the open activity room with ping-pong table, satellite TV and living area. A sauna with separate bath and shower are also downstairs. In winter, a four-wheel drive is required.WIFI
Overall, our experience was very good. The house was in a beautiful setting, just a short ride to Okemo. The house was clean and exactly as advertised. The downstairs was set up great for getting ski equipment on and off and had a nice entertainment area with a TV and ping pong table. The main floor has a very nice sitting area and wood fireplace. We had one issue with the internet connection and the owner was very responsive. We recommend this home.
This home is beautiful, clean, comfortable and the photos don't do it justice. Two families seven kids and we had more than enough space, never having feltd we were on top of each other. The property is fantastic, with plenty of outdoor space for hiking or trail walking and the view was just spectacular. The sunrises were breathtaking and the time we spent mapping stars in the evenings was sensational. The home is located within 5 minutes of everything you need, but yet feels as if you are far far away from civilization. It was a first for both families visiting Vermont and based upon this trip we will be coming back every year. We will be staying no where else but this home.
A big thank you to the owners. Spending time in your home with its grandview was just what we all needed to recharge our batteries.
Amazing house away from it all. Plenty of room and space to relax. Very clean, comfortable and stocked with supplies. Loved our time there. A+++
We travel to Vermont and stay in or near the Ludlow area several times a year. This is by far our favorite property to stay at now. The home is very large and spacious and does not feel cramped or crowded considering we had 10 adults staying for 5 days. The sauna is a great and unique feature that we used during our stay. Our other favorite feature of the home was the ping pong table. It was unfortunate that the table looked like it suffered wear & tear from "beer pong" use but we were able to use it for its intended purpose. The property itself was incredible! Very private and you could not beat the view at all. On our last night there was a storm and we were able to enjoy the lightening show through the large front windows. The deck is large and spacious and has a nice Weber grill to use. Every morning was a real treat because the sun would rise over Okemo mountain. The home is close enough to the main street if you need groceries or anything else. We like to stay in Ludlow because of its proximity to many of the trails, mountains, lakes, and other great towns like Woodstock (high recommended visiting). Of course we stayed during one of the hottest weeks of the year and the home did not have air conditioning, but that doesn't matter because you should be spending your time enjoying all the wilderness VT has to offer. There are so many windows in this house you get a constant breeze. I highly recommend staying at this home and look forward to vacationing here again.
The house is great for families and it is located 10 minutes from Ludlow. From the fireplace to the deck to the open windows it is picturesque. We really enjoyed the house and anyone looking for peace and quiet should as well.
I absolutely love this house!! It is well appointed with all the things you need for an exciting weekend or just relaxing around the fireplace. It's open and roomy with spectacular views from those gorgeous windows. Everything was clean and comfortable. We loved the nearby hikes and in the past I have thoroughly enjoyed the sledding in the winter. I will come back here again and again!!! I want to see this place in every season!!!
Other Activities: Winter: snowshoeing from front door, sledding nearby, skiing, X-country. Summer: hiking & biking, fishing, golfing, boating and WiFI
