Hacienda Tucson was my Southwest fantasy! The Hacienda is an authentic Adobe in the heart of the Sonoran Desert with the feel of Old Mexico. Best of all, Hacienda Tucson is a energy efficient passive solar green home with solar hot water. The central courtyard and the large wrap-around porch have fabulous mountain and desert views. We relax to the sounds of nature, like bird songs and occasional coyote howls.

YOUR OWN DESERT HIDE AWAY-NONE BETTER
This property is incredible. Constance greated us with a warm hug and a tour
of the property. My husband and I grilled out every night on the patio and sat
and enjoyed a glass of wine by the fireplace. Watching the quails from the
side porch every morning and picking my own orange, lemons and grapefruit
rounded out a long weekend at a beautiful desert retreat.
You are close to enough to anything you might need but feel like you are
miles from anyone.
We can't wait to return and stay longer. You will not find a better place to
The pictures presented by the owner are authentic, though, the views are even prettier while staying there. All parts such as floor, ceiling, walls, and furnishing are well designed and artcrafted. It is a real luxurious home with matching colors and forms. No overstyled and miscolored items. The kitchen has all modern equipment including ample dishes, dishwasher, washer, and dryer. WiFi is working well. The house is surrounded by a patio that accommodates hammock, table, and chairs. The inner courtyard provides even more relaxed seating. There is a 1-mile unpaved road that connects the main road (Sandario Road) with the house. The mail boxes on the road remind you that there are neighbors living in the vicinity as you cannot see the houses, which appear far away. The hacienda is a heaven of relaxed living in a remote and enchanting area. It is the finest accommodation that we have experienced and it was hard to leave and not to stay longer. The saguaros are not dense here but saguaro forests and the entrance to the Saguaro National Park is around the corner. The hacienda has no pool. We love pools but we found that the majority of pools of hotels are too small to swim. Furthermore, we found a place with a somewhat bigger pool but it was too cold. Tucson has public pools, which are heated and open year round. At least in February and March, unheated pools might look nice but are not comfortable. We had a warm and helpful welcome and farewell by the owner. We recommend the place and are looking forward to come back.
What an amazing stay. There are no negatives to Hacienda Tucson. Beautiful house, property.....Constance is incredibly attentive to every detail. If you love nature, this is the place to go. We will definitely return, we're only sorry we didn't stay longer.
I have nothing but good things to say about this Hacienda. The house is beautiful and has all of the comforts of home (and then some). It’s set in a peaceful and beautiful location at the edge of Saguaro Park West and very near the Sonora Desert Museum. Start the day on the porch with a cup of coffee watching the sun rise over the desert. End the day with a cocktail watching the beautiful evening sky. The location is a perfect base for hiking and biking or just relaxing and taking in the beauty of the desert. Constance is a wonderful hostess who is very helpful and incredibly kind. We had a wonderful stay there, were very sad to leave, would return again in a heartbeat and would recommend this place to others without hesitation.
My husband and I returned to the Hacienda for a second time with our daughters, 7 and 9. A great time was had by all. The home is beautiful and peaceful, the wildlife abundant. Our girls loved going out and spending time with the hens and gathering the occasional egg. We travel almost 100% over the last 11 years by VRBO and this by far and away is the nicest property we have stayed in. Thanks for another great stay!
Flaming colors for Constance's Hacienda. Indeed it is a very special place where everything is just perfect. The house is so comfortable, welcoming, colorful, well appointed. Its lacks absolutely nothing and it is a place you feel has been planned thoughtfully and with love.
The location is ideal for people that love silence, quiet, nature and desert with all its creature and wonderful vegetation. One is sorry indeed to leave when the times come.
It is really very far from our home or we would be back very very soon
Photos in the internet do not even come close to show the charm of the Hacienda and all its treasures and Constance is just the perfect host.
Would we recommend the porperty? Yes, of course, just a bit jelous
We stayed at Hacienda Tucson for a week with another couple, and we all loved it. It’s beautifully decorated and pleasant inside and out. We used all the outdoor seating areas to enjoy the Sonoran Desert environment. The remote setting added to the desert experience, from watching the birds and animals at the feeder and fountain to viewing the spectacular desert sunsets to hearing the coyotes and other desert sounds at night. We counted more than two dozen species of birds just from the porches. The kitchen was well-equipped and large enough that we could all be in it at once preparing different parts of our meals. There were no unpleasant surprises, but one very pleasant one: there is a chicken coop, and we could collect fresh eggs every day from the five beautiful and friendly hens. Every other morning we had enough for a breakfast of fried or scrambled eggs, which we enjoyed in the courtyard. Constance was very helpful in orienting us to the hacienda and suggesting things to do and had a lot of literature available about dining and activities. The spectacular Arizona Sonoran Desert Museum and the western unit of the Saguaro National Park are both just a few minutes away. We did not find the location to be too remote; we drove in to Tucson once or twice every day. Even though the temperatures were in the nineties at the beginning of our week (the first week of April), we found the hacienda very comfortable in both the daytime and nighttime. We highly recommend Hacienda Tucson for two couples to share.
