About Gérald DROUIN
Having wished for a long time to live in Provence, we fell in love with this beautiful region and this stunning town. We renovated this attractive property to accommodate our friends and family.
Gérald DROUIN purchased this House in 2008
Why Gérald DROUIN chose Uzès
And since the land allowed further construction, we added this Provencal style, eco-friendly cottage to be able to accommodate more people and rent it the rest of the time.
What makes this House unique
Located in a quiet area, amidst an olive grove in the commune of Uzès, very close to the city centre. Amidst the olive trees, oleanders and lavender. Provence charm.

wonderful place to stay
The house was well organized and ready for us; with the owner prepared and ready to guide us through the workings of the house; a perfect place to stay for four. The location is also optimal, being on the outskirts of town but also easily accessible either by car or, more enjoyably, by walking through a quiet footpath into town. Uzes is a wonderful town, with plenty do visit historically but also the house is an excellent stepping stone to the historical offerings of the region.
It was a pleasure .
A wonderful retreat
Couldn't have asked for more. In fact, we didn't ask for anything as Gérald had thought of everything. We were welcomed and informed of local rules and resources. Beds were comfortable and kitchen well-equipped. We were able to walk to Uzés on an off-road walking path almost every day. Other days we took side trips to Nîmes, Camargua, Aix-en-Provence, Avignon and Orange. Pool is very well kept and lovely. We would definitely stay again or recommend Gérald's cottage to a friend.
Nice Owner. Lovely Spot.
The cottage was comfortable and pool was a hit with our kids. Enough privacy that you feel "in the country" but you can walk to a decent bakery in 5 minutes or to central Uzes in 15 minutes on a pretty little trail full of butterflies.
Thank you very much .
I wish you a good continuation for your holidays with your family in France
The cottage is indeed charming, well-situated and well-appointed.
Gérald welcomed us warmly and explained clearly how everything worked. The cottage has everything you need, from decent showers with plenty of hot water to properly sharp knives in the kitchen to a big comfortable sofa. It has its own sunny terrace, with olive trees for shade. You can walk to Uzès in 20 minutes along a pretty lane, or drive there in under 5 minutes. There's a dangerously good boulangerie just across the road. The weather was cold during our stay so the swimming pool was not an option, but the cottage was lovely and warm. Altogether highly recommended.
Fantastic - Thank You Gérald and family!
Gérald and his wife could not have been any more welcoming, and made us feel at home immediately, but he was also very discrete at all times, respecting our privacy too.
The property was well equipped and if there was anything we felt was missing we only had to ask and Gérald was very helpful - for example we asked for another chopping board and he produced one there and then.
It felt bigger in side than the impression we got from the pictures - the lounge/dinning room in particular - and was spotlessly clean. The pool was absolutely fabulous and my youngest spent more time in it than out of it! Probably the best pool we have had in all the years we have been renting in France.
We have been visiting the area for many years and love it. Uzès is a lovely town with a beautiful square (Place Aux Herbes) in the centre and it is close enough for us to visit the areas we like the most (Collias for dinner by the river at L'Enclos and a swim, or Kayaking down the Gardon, the beaches of La Grande Motte or L'Espiguette, the port of Grau-du-Roi for dinner by the river/harbour or even the cultural experiences of the Pont du Gard or the walled city of Aigues-Mortes to name a few) or to explore something new!
Many thanks Gérald it was a pleasure to meet you and your family and spend a week at your wonderful holiday cottage (though the time went far too quickly!)
I would highly recommend this property.
It was a pleasure Dan
