Adorable Studio, sleeps 3 - Totally renovated in 2018

Clean and updated, loved having beach chairs with an umbrella available to use!

The place was as described and was very clean, There were no issues. we enjoyed our stay very much.

This studio was perfect, my only regret was I didn’t stay longer. It had a coffee, drinks and even some chocolates from the island which were a nice touch. The host was amazing; I accidentally locked myself out at 9pm and she responded instantly. Would highly recommend!

We really liked this place. It is small but efficient. Good location near fun restaurants and easy to venture out throughout the island for day trips. As others have noted, it can be noisy. It also gets a bit stuffy. Overall, we’d stay again! Thank you!

We had a great stay at the Sandpiper 129B Studio Apartment. This apartment was in exceptional condition and was spotlessly clean!! The HomeAway website stated that it was recently refurbished and it was in fantastic condition. We had welcoming Macadamia Nut chocolates and the kitchen area was stocked with K-Cup coffee machine and tea/coffee supplies, which was a really nice touch. The area was really nice and it is a great location to take in the North Coast areas of Kauai.

The main room comprises the Queen/King sized bed with a good TV, 2 Leather Chairs and also the kitchen sink/fridge/microwave. This is a studio sized apartment, so this is as advertised. There were plenty of kitchen utensils/plates/cups available for meals and brand new dish-soap/scrubbing pads.

There was a separate sink around the corner adjacent to the bathroom and a nice stone/tiled shower. All Shampoo/conditioner/soap was included along with a hairdryer and towels/mats, so basically nothing extra was needed.

Outside the sliding door/window was the Lanai/deck area with table/chairs and we used this for breakfast or evening meals when at the apartment. It was refreshing to go outside to eat in the morning/evening air. On the deck were several beach items such as boogie boards for body surfing, coolers etc, that are good for a trip to the beach. There were sunshades that could be raised or lowered and this was nice for shade or for some privacy if you wanted.

If you wanted to eat out, there are restaurants close by and also towards Hanalei. We really liked the Foodland store which is just close enough to walk, but a quick drive is better. They had fresh sandwiches/meals and also Poke, which I highly recommend, along with many fresh fruit and other food items, chocolates/snacks/wine/beer. It was always busy with customers and a great place to stock up for the apartment or beach..

The only minor complaint that we had was that the neighbors had a young child who could be a little noisy at times and the soundproofing was not great, but as everyone has windows open, this may not have made much difference. Generally though the apartment complex was very quiet/peaceful and everyone was friendly and considerate of others.

All in all we had a great stay at the Sandpiper Apartments and we would not hesitate to go back. The location is fantastic for staying in the North Shore area of Kauai and it was a lovely vacation location.
