About the property

Small two-bedroom house in the yard of our old farmhouse

The Maisonette is a small house of 61m2 in the yard of our old farmhouse old winery. . It was built during the sixty years to house itinerant pickers.

The front door opens into the living / dining room with kitchen for 5 people. There is a sofa, two armchairs, coffee table, cupboards, TV, dining table with 5 chairs, gas stove, coffee maker, microwave, dishwasher, sink, cutlery and crockery for 5 people e relates to the corridor.

In the hallway you will find a library and a door opens into the room with one double bed, wardrobe, dresser, two nightstands. Back in the hall the second door brings you into the bedroom 2 with 3 single beds, wardrobe, dresser, closet and 3 bedsides.

The third door of the hall is the shower room with toilet, sink, shower and small window.

The garden of the Mas you share with us a soixentenaire couple who lives in the farmhouse, and perhaps our children and grandchildren that sometimes come for holidays, sometimes tenants of our other holiday rental, a studio for 2 persons. The garden is surrounded by a beautiful pebble wall with a gate closed at night and where you have a key. In the garden you will find the 10m by 5m pool, sunbathing, several tables and chairs in the sun or in the shade of trees, barbecue, a large barn with table tennis, sunbathing, table and chairs.

The Mas is on the main road but the 6572 Maisonette is located behind the building and sheltered from the noise of the road. It is one kilometer from Gallician hamlet with its bakery, its co-operative cellar of wine, two coffees and of course its arenas. The Rhone to Sete canal passes through the hamlet, and for cyclists there is a greenway that leads you in Vauvert 4 kilometers to the supermarket, banks, health professionals.

Next to the farmhouse there is a small camping (75 pitches) with bread depot, grocery store, bar, games for children. You can enjoy breakfast or order a pizza, if you like.

Behind the farmhouse is a small field or our two anesses live with our hens and our roosters

You have a choice of beautiful sandy beaches. Le Grau du Roi is 30 minutes, passing through the historic city of Aigues Mortes. Les Saintes Maries de la Mer also 30 minutes, crossing the Rhone by either the bridge Sylvereal or with wild tray full Camargue. On that way you spend more next to the bird park Pont de Gau.

Major cities Roman, Nimes and Arles are both within half an hour of the Mas,

Charming place and very helpful owners

  • 5 of 5

The former vineyard has a very nice location near to more towns with severel supermarkets. We spent a very nice week in the house and the Camargue area is really fascinating with the Rhone delta and birdlife all over. We also enjoyed the white horses and black bulls. The Pont du Gard was a great experience . The owners Lynne and John were so nice and helpful and we gladly will be back.

Einfach traumhaft

  • 5 of 5
