Istvan and Wendy purchased this Condo in 2018
Why Istvan and Wendy chose Canmore
In January 2018, we stumbled upon this unique Vacation Home suite at Blackstone Mountain Lodge in Canmore, and we immediately knew that it was our dream vacation home. We enjoy staying this suite very much after long work weekdays in the urban environment. We are adventure travelers and visited many beautiful mountains in the world. We would like to have the great pleasure of sharing our Rocky Mountain home with many friends, family, and travelers in the world.
What makes this Condo unique
This vacation home is located in proximity to downtown Canmore, and the gateway to the National Parks like Banff, Yoho, Kootenay and Jasper National Parks. Canmore hosts a variety of festivals and events every year, like the Canmore Folk Festival, Highland Games, Canmore Uncorked, Winter Carnival, and more! Check out the list of upcoming events 2018 from this link: http://www.tourismcanmore.com/event-calendar/2018/03 If you like hiking, please challenge the Ha Ling Peak. We once reached the peak by taking three hours from the trial in the back of the mountain. Boating in Lake Minnewanka in the summer is very nice. This glacial lake located in the eastern area of Banff National Park is the longest and deepest lake in the park. If you like ice climbing in the winter, Johnson Canyon is one of many places to go. Our most favor winter sport is downhill ski at the ski resorts of Sunshine, Lake Louise and Kicking Horse with 30, 60, 90 minutes driving distance, respectively. Riding to the top of Sulphur Mountain by Gondola or hiking to the top, you can overview spectacular rocky mountains and the Town of Banff. Bring your skates and discover Canmore's Pond for a wonderful family time. Horseback riding, water rafting in the Bow Valley, and walking on an ancient glacier (Icefield Parkway), and much more, you will love these all.

a GREAT place to stay in Canmore!
We (two couples in our early 70s) stayed there a few days in late Sept 2019. The place and Canmore were absolutely wonderful. This is a great alternative to Banff and only a 20 min drive to Banff.
Great location and nice condo.
Manager was super easy to work with. The condo was exactly as described and in a wonderful location. Nice building with great amenities.
Great condo in Banff National Park
This is a terrific place to use as your home base when exploring the Banff and Lake Louise area. Super clean, well-equipped kitchen and very comfortable beds. We didn’t use the pool or hot tubs, but they looked very inviting.
I would definitely recommend this condo and hope to return soon!
Thanks, Lorie! welcome come to Canadian Rockies again.
condition of unit
Location and view was excellent. Some condition issues with master tub shower.
Staying in Canmore
It was convenient to downtown but not so close that you felt crowded. The apartment was very well maintained and equipped. It was very spacious for two couples. We really enjoyed it!
We had a wonderful stay here! This beautiful condo was immaculate and perfect for our vacation! We loved sitting on the patio with a view of the mountains! It was exactly what we were needing and we were so thrilled! The location was in a beautiful neighborhood that was a short walk to downtown shops and restaurants. Check in was seamless, great parking in the underground heated parking garage, and we were given great tips and suggestions from our host for what to do while in the area! I would highly recommend!
