In the heart of the village of Thirimont, you can find this typical Ardennes farmhouse, that has been completely renovated. It is an ideal location to relax and enjoy the unspoiled nature. The village is located near the nature reserve the High Fens. With a height of 500 meters, you can enjoy a beautiful view over the Amblève valley, which the river flows. We had a pleasant stay, quiet, surrounded by nature.
At Easter I spent a long weekend in this lovely cottage. Inside equipped with all modern comforts, two spacious bedrooms and a lovely shower. In the house there are three cottages which occupy during the weekends by the German owner. She does all the work for a pleasant stay for its guests. From the cottage are several beautiful walks and you can be in nice places like Malmedy. The village itself is very quiet. Dogs are welcome, but there is no private garden so they do not really walk around freely. There is a small terrace in front of the house, but no fence. The cottage also seems less suitable for families with small children. The home is fully equipped, although missing some essential things like a washing-up brush, scissors and lids on the pans. But despite being a lovely house and a real winner!
You could mentally put everything back on track. Physically it was a challenge. Cycling is virtually impossible (unless you own a mountain bike) Beautiful walks. Delicious pastries at the bakery in the village Waimes Spa was also a nice town to visit.
We have a nice walk in a very nice environment near the Ambleve either the Amel. We, two friends with two dogs, seemed to hear. Near the village soon The owners were very warm and so are our neighbors. The weather was still pretty great, so we did not have to go further.
