My wife and I visited most of the Hawaiian Islands before we bought at Aina Nalu in Lahaina because Aina Nalu is in old Hawaii with historic buidings, near excellent beaches for snorkeling and within walking distance of many restaurants, shops, and activities. Front Street along the shore downtown is a great place to people watch. There are many things to do and see at Aina Nalu.
What makes this Condo unique
We enjoy our bikes to visit beaches for our coffee and paper in the morning and in the evening we cruise Front Street to find the best happy hour drinks and music.

Great place! So close to everything in Lahaina!
Great property that my wedding crew all stayed at! Very clean and comfortable. So close to old Lahaina town and SO much to do. Was amazing! Only 4 stars because the check in process was a little crazy. We did not know how to get to the buildings and the front desk said since the place we were at had a “code” lock instead of a card key they couldn’t help us with anythin which was a little off putting . But! Great place :)
Thank you for your kind review, Marisa. This property is definitely one of the closest you'll find to old Lahaina town and all it has to offer. We're not sure why had such a difficult time checking in. We send the code for the door in our email correspondence and send a further reminder email prior to arrival to print the documents or write down the code prior to arriving on island. We're sorry you ran into this issue, but we do hope you do return and visit again.
Has a great stay!
Had a great time at the Aina Nalu resort. Our condo was clean and comfortable, well stocked and we would definitely stay there again. The grounds are very well kept and the pools, especially the smaller one by our condo, were well maintained and equipped. The only draw back was not having our own lanai. We purchased two folding lawn chairs and put those outside our garden door.
This was our first stay in Lahaina as we usually stay in Kihei and we loved it. Will stay there on our next Maui visit. Lots to see and do and the good restaurants are too numerous to mention (though Moose McGillycuddy's is a must for fun, good food and reasonable prices).

Great property and really close to all the amazing shops and restaurants. It is very clean and very well maintained. Lanscapers were there everyday keeping the beautiful flowers and plants looking just perfect. I would definatley recommend this resort and will likely stay there again!

Good Value, Managment is quick to address issues
This is our second time staying at Aina Nalu. The first time was at a different unit. This unit is located centrally between both pools. The wifi worked well and was very fast. It is also close to the parking lot which makes it easy to load your luggage to and from the unit. You can't park in the parking lot but there is plenty of parking on the street. However you can park in the lot for short periods of time.
What we liked
Unit was clean and everything that was advertised was available. We had several issues with the unit and Steve @ maui beachfront rentals was quick to address them. In one case, someone came to look at the problems within 10mins of calling. Everything was as advertised and even came with a small beach umbrella, lawn chairs and fishing rods.
What needs work
When we first got to the unit, the AC was turned off, so it was very hot inside. We were travelling with 5mth old twins so it was essential to get the unit cooled off asap. The AC in the living room worked quickly, however the AC is the bedroom was full of mold, and it stunk up the whole place! Dave came to look at it and gave me an option to have it surface cleaned, but I declined because of the potential health risks. Hopefully they can fix this soon. The washing machine wasn't working, but that was fixed the day after. Lucky I had a friend in a nearby unit, so we used theirs for the day.
Overall this was a very good place to stay. Although we had issues, we would stay here again because the management really seems to care.
Frequent Visitors to Maui
Since 2007 we have stayed in this unit five (5) times, the last time being in March of 2011 and plan to return in 2012. Maui is our favorite island and Lahaina is our favorite town. The property manager that cares for this unit has done an excellent job for years. This condo and complex has always been very clean and in like new condition. When we have a question we call the property manager's office or stop by because it's only about one (1)-block away. If you like riding bikes, Lahaina is the perfect location because everything is close by. We ride bikes to our favorite restaurants, bars, and beaches on this side of Maui. A nightime ride down Front Street is always fun.
Clean and comfortable
Condo was spotless, nicely furnished, well-maintained. Wireless internet not present in room but hardwire broadband was available and worked well. TV in the main living room and the large bedroom never worked and given that the unit was a owner rental, probably would have been futile to call it in. TV in the small bedroom worked fine. Tried to get the desk people in the outdoor lobby/office to print out our boarding passes (don't have a portable printer) but the two young staffers said that that was not possible for them to do. Grounds nicely kept up, Pools (2) very clean and maintained. LaHaina a charming village albeit it has a surfeit of kitschy tourist shops. "Art" galleries (many) are selling giclee reproductions at original prices so be wary. Please do go to the Old LaHaina Luau - well worth the cost for the tickets include unlimited drinks (not watered down), an incredible buffet with all typical and delicious luau foods, and a historically accurate staging of Hawai'is history in song, dance, and narration. Just outstanding!
