Wonderful for a large group. Very spacious
Had a great time. Loved the pool as an alternate to the beach. Great location
Thanks for staying with us and for the positive review. We're glad you enjoyed the pool. The guy who maintains our pool says it's the nicest pool at a private home that he's seen in the area. It's almost 40 feet long, and great for swimming laps. Very private and surrounded by lovely landscaping. Please come back and stay with us again!

Very roomy, clean and well stocked with everything we could need.
We had a 3-generation family vacation with children ranging from 21 to 2 years old. ALL of the grandchildren had a great time and enjoyed the pool, local restaurants, beaches and playing Gameboy on the big screen tv. Adults also enjoyed the pool and sitting on the lanai enjoying the Florida weather. The house was just what we were looking for to enjoy spending time together. The dining room was large enough for us all to eat meals together at the same table and play games at night. We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the property and would book it again. No one wanted to leave. Thank you for a great vacation!
Thanks for staying with us. We are glad you enjoyed the house, pool and our beautiful village of Cortez. Please come back and stay with us again!
Best wishes-Paul and Cindy
We loved it.
There were 15 of us including a 2 year old and several kids, and we had plenty of room. It was clean and had plenty of linens and household supplies. The pool was amazing and was a blessing as the beach and any shops were too far to walk. It really kept the children occupied.
Thanks for staying with us. We're glad you enjoyed the beautiful village of Cortez and found the house comfortable for your party of 15. We love family reunions! That's what the house is set up for.

Huge! Great pool! Mediocre management team.
We stayed in Cortez for a week for a family vacation. We had plenty of room in the house with lots of silverware and plates to use. Beds were pretty comfortable, and I cannot even begin to explain how much we loved the pool and the AMAZING location! Everything is within ten minutes. We had very few problems with the house but one big one was the smell. It's an old house and its something that I should have been expecting, but it has a old wet carpet smell and very musty. As long as candles were lit it wasn't a problem, and I used a couple bottle of Febreeze which helped a ton too. I called the management property to ask them to come check it out the first morning there and they told me that they would have someone out by the end of the next day however I never heard back nor did anyone come. I also wish it was a little cleaner, however I am known for my excessively clean nature. There were quite a few dirty dishes in the cabinets, and debris in the pool. All of that in mind, we would still return. The huge pool was amazing, and it was great to have all of the space to spread out. I just wish the management team was a little more on top of things.
Thanks for staying with us, and glad you enjoyed the house. I'm sorry about the poor response from our management team. They are dedicated and competent, but on rare occasion they mess up. I have had a long talk with the managers, and they acknowledge that they did not provide you with an acceptable level of service during your stay. For that they and we apologize. I believe they have contacted you directly to offer their apologies. We would love to have you back in Cortez to show you the best of our hospitality, and we will provide you with a 15% discount off our published rate for up to a one week stay any time in the future.
Best wishes - Paul and Cindy, owners
I loved the character and history of the home. An old home place full of memories. Home..
We loved staying here. Everything you could ever need. The pool was excellent! Accommodations for anyone with a physical disability we're excellent. Ramp, huge shower and one downstairs bedroom, plus sofa sleepers for anyone not able to walk upstairs, were huge advantages. Being right next to our favorite Star Fish Restaurant and Market was also great! Best food around and our favorite Captain Kathe boat tours also leave from the same dock. Anna Maria Oyster Bar is also a great place to eat and is inside dining with AC. Children get to choose a new book each visit... awesome! Also children are charged a penny per inch Monday through Thursday. Wonderful place to stay! Old house full of love and history....not a tourist attraction, just home.
