|Minimum Stay||3 - 5 nights|
Villa in the country with a garden of 4500 square meters, large soggorno with fireplace, kitchen very equipped, 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms (one with jacuzzi and the other very large with a shower), garage. All new furnishings and supplies. Free wi-fi and telephone. Refined and well finished a short walk from the Roman theater of Fiesole site outside Florence.
Marie-Therese greeted our party of 5 and led us through this spacious villa. Villa is well equipped for the American traveler and the listing is accurate with respect to grounds, panorama and comfort. Property is clean and private. Kitchen lighting needs improvement. WiFi is a bonus and satellite service provides 2 channels in English, but no CNN. Marie-Therese is readily available for advice and will go the extra mile to please. Highly recommended for those wishing to experience living in the Tuscan hillsides. Access to town by foot or auto is easy and bus service from Fiesole to Florence is excellent.
Enjoyed our stay. Plenty of grown for my dog and a baloney most would enjoy. Only complaint is the distance to the town and bus stop. Hills to climb but if you are with out any health problems it can be walked. We used our car most of the time to go into Florence and other day's outing.
Cool, fresh air, and beautiful area.
What a marvelous stay we had. The house and grounds were the most spacious, private and comfortable of any vacation home we have rented. The pictures adequately portray the property (except that the house is larger than expected). Furnished and equipped well for a vacation house. Plenty of towels and immediate necessities. Contact with owner was timely, but not really a necessity on this trip. The kitchen is well appointed, but a little small when our party of 5 were all trying to get breakfast at the same time. My advice, kick everyone out if you are preparing a meal. The lighting in the kitchen is inadequate for use of the sink and counters at night. Needs some task lighting over these areas. It also takes a little bit of getting use to the fluorescent lighting throughout the house (the lighting brightness builds over a few minutes).
A large car/van is not recommended for driving the access road from the main road to the house. We had to have someone get out and guide us through a few of the turns. That also applies to driving in Italy in general. Our GPS routing frequently took us down twisty, narrow roads with sharp turns that were a bit harrowing and caused a few scrapes to the rental car (get full insurance and have a good attitude).
I would certainly stay again given the opportunity. Thanks Ms. Bott.
