Getaway from it all

  • 5 of 5

This property was great! Most people would consider this cabin rustic without WiFi and cable but this was exactly what my family was looking for! This cabin is large yet cozy! Fireplace was nice on a cold weekend with plenty of fire wood supplied! Our kids enjoyed the hills for sledding and open areas for making snowmen! We even had a mother and baby dear that stayed around all weekend. Lots of amenities on site, we usually pack everything and were delighted to see a lot of your basic items were their.( ex. Spices, shampoos, sunblock, hairdryer and many more!)Their was even a full piano! The small musicians could not get enough of it! Owners were great! Their if you needed them and gave us privacy when we didn't. What wasn't mentioned in their description: the beautiful river at the bottom of the driveway! We loved it here and will definitely be back! Thanks for having us!

Wonderful get away

  • 5 of 5

Did a short family vacation, wish we had more time there. Secluded area with beautiful mountain views. Had the treat of a small snow fall. Owner very easy and a joy to work with. House in wonderful condition. Went for a spontaneous hike in the mountains. Back at the house played games and had a nice fire going in the fireplace - firewood supplied! Great time away from it all. Would definitely consider doing it again. Thank you to the owners for making this home available!!

just what we hoped for!

  • 5 of 5

This Cabin was just what we hoped for! Away from it all and cozy. This is a spot for family or couples and even friends to go and enjoy a quiet relaxing place, where time stands still. Its very clean, the owners are nearby and very nice. This is a place that makes bad weather on your vacation, ok.... just stay in and enjoy the fire.

Terrific place. Secluded yet close to several good rivers. Could not ask for a nicer owner. Sorry to tell you this because you might reserve it for the next time we want it :)

Beautiful Location

  • 5 of 5

There were five of us that stayed for two nights. The best aspect of this place is the location. It is private (on a dead-end road), has a view of the mountains in the distance, has a nearby brook, some apple trees, and there are rolling hills behind the house . Also, we really enjoyed the wood fireplace and the rusticity inside. There is an upright piano that has a nice quality sound. There are two bedrooms upstairs that are very quaint and private. The larger bedroom upstairs has some beautiful windows and a convenient half bath area. The two bedrooms downstairs were also nice--the mattress is very comfortable in the larger downstairs bedroom. There is a TV in the living room for watching movies or playing video games--it would have been nice if there had been satellite TV available (for those into sports scores or the news), but we survived without it. I wish we could have stayed longer. The owners were nice to deal with--we will definitely consider renting again. The location of this cabin is absolutely perfect if you're looking for privacy, rusticity, and an away from it all experience.
