Located on one of Madrid's most emblematic streets, the historic Calle Mayor, this comfortable two-bedrooms apartment provides a peaceful accommodation in the most central part of this vibrant city. Recently renovated in a modern style, the property offers visitors easy access to many of the city's most famed attractions. The Plaza Mayor, the Royal Theatre and the Royal Palace are all within walking distance, as is the charming, turn of the 20th century market of San Miguel. The late 19th century building, which houses this apartment, is located in a restricted-traffic area, making life for pedestrians even easier. The apartment itself is exterior with views to a tree-covered area, has the advantage of providing visitors to get their rest after long days of tourism, despite being so close to the busy Puerta del Sol and Plaza Mayor. The decor throughout the property features light colours with white wood laminate flooring. The living space has two balconies that looks outward. The sleeping quarters in the interior area consist of a master bedroom, with a queen-sized bed and a second bedroom with two single beds.

beautiful apartment, fantastic location
We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived since the photos don't do it justice. So close to everything. With the beautiful French doors opening to two balconies overlooking a small plaza, we were always a part of the vitality of Madrid. Bedrooms are in the back of the apartment and absolutely quiet. Ricky, our greeter, was very welcoming, enthusiastic, and full of ideas for our 4 days in Madrid. Thank you Ricky and Flat Sweet Home!
Thank you Sara for sharing your wonderful experience, our team works hard to provide great service at our fantastic locations and we remain grateful when our clients notice it!, we look forward to the next stay with us when you visit Madrid!
Excellent Flat - Great location
Gabriel and the team at Flat Sweet Home were very friendly, helpful and professional. From our first meeting it was obvious that they wanted to make our stay seem less. The Flat is in an excellent location, immediately adjacent to the market ( San Miguel), Plaza Mayor and Sol square. Lots of great food and drink seconds away. The unit was very clean and comfortable with everything you need! There were minor maintenance issues but it did not affect our stay. The only recommendation we have is to provide extra towels for guests. One per guest is provided and they recommend that they not be washed. I have no issue using a towel 3 to 4 times but an extra set is definitely need. Overall awesome stay, excellent location. Definitely recommend this unit! Big thank you to Gabriel and the Flat Sweet Home team.

El Madrid de los Austrias (English: The Madrid of the Austrians or the Habsburgs) is a name used for the old centre of Madrid, built during the reign of the Habsburg Dynasty, known in Spain as Casa de Austria. The area is located south of the Calle Mayor, in between the Metro stations Sol and Opera.
Several important buildings are also located in the Plaza de la Villa, one of the oldest plazas in Madrid. The oldest building is the Torre de los Lujanes, built in the Gothic style in the 15th century. Strictly speaking the Torre does not belong to the Habsburg period, though it is situated in the Madrid de los Austrias. Another building, the Casa de Cisneros, was built in 1537. Alongside it is the Ayuntamiento, the old town hall. It was built by the architect Juan Goméz de Mora, designer of the Plaza Mayor, and it is architecturally similar with a relatively austere red-orange facade and mansard roof, and steep-roofed corner towers.
