Awesome location, perfect for kids and your pets

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time in Tahoe this weekend. We were lucky we got there with fresh snowfall. Our girls loved playing around in the backyard building snowmen and throwing snowballs. We all especially loved using the hot tub after getting cold from the snow. The house was perfect, had plenty of beds and blankets and towels. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could need. There was one problem with the house when we arrived, but a quick phone call to the owner, and it was addressed and fixed within the hour. Excellently and quickly handled. The house was warm throughout. We all chose to sleep at the top though because the bottom floor is a tad cooler and we are desert people and love to be hot. Less than a mile away from restaurants, and the grocery store, and the lake. You could walk during the warmer months. Quiet neighborhood. We would definitely stay here again next time we visit Tahoe! Thanks so much for opening your lovely home to us.

Great stay

  • 5 of 5

Stayed here for a long weekend with friend and her family, place was perfect for a group of 5 including 2 kids. Close to everything that we wanted to do. Walking distance to the beach and 5 minute drive to Heavenly. I will definitely try to come back this summer! Great location and the cabin had everything!!

Great cozy old-school cabin

  • 5 of 5

We are two families with four boys, and this cabin was a pretty perfect fit. To begin with, the location is ideal; close to the lake, just a couple minutes from the Safeway, and right near Heavenly resort. It's in a nice, quiet neighborhood with similar cabins.

When we arrived everything was clean, and organized in the way that was laid out in the comprehensive overview document that was sent before our stay. In fact, Jeff was very responsive and accommodating throughout.

You enter into the living room area, which has nice comfy chairs and a couch, and has a gas fireplace set to a thermostat. There is an additional wall heater, and between the two the place heats up very efficiently. The kitchen is open to the living room area, and has most everything you'd want by way of appliances. Everything worked well. The clothes washer/dryer are also right off of the kitchen..

The door to the backyard is off of the kitchen, and opens onto a nicely sized space that I would think in summer is a great place to hang out and bbq. The hot tub is in the back, and was nicely hot in a short amount of time. It will take a bit of noodling to dial in the temp you like, but when the cover is kept on, it'll stay where you want it. We had a small dog with us, and he got a kick out of chasing the squirrels that darted around. The yard is fully enclosed in case you do have a pooch.

The bedrooms are two on the main floor (one with a full, and one with bunks), and the full bathroom is also there. Two more bedrooms and a half bath are upstairs for the adults. I won't say that the mattresses are what you might have at home, but they worked perfectly well.

Nothing is ever completely perfect, and there were a few things that we'd recommend checking on before you settle in too much; there wasn't shampoo or soap in the shower, there wasn't any Kleenex, and the laundry detergent was missing. Small things that were solved with a quick trip to Safeway.

We'd definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a rustic, old-school Tahoe place to stay. It's very reasonably priced, and just felt very warm and inviting to be in.

This was a great house, lots of space, large backyard, hot tub, and close to the shops! The only thing that I would change is adding another bathroom.
