Peace and Quiet, Pet Friendly, 2,400 Sq feet, pool, close to beaches and Village
Our home has a good vibe, soothing energy and we know that laughter lines the walls. The house backs up against a preserve, so all you'll see are trees, deer, birds and bunnies. An outdoor shower with hot water, a pool, teak table for six on the deck, hammock, pool chaises and a brand new grill allow for wonderful nights of entertaining and lounging.
Two living rooms, a spacious kitchen,, half bath, mud room and a dining room seating eight are downstairs, while four bedrooms and two full baths comprise the second floor. Two of the bedrooms have high, vaulted ceilings and all bedrooms are large. The master bath has a shower and a jacuzzi tub which overlooks out into the trees and backyard. The house is bathed in light, so house plants thrive and Vitamin D fills the home. A fireplace is in one Living Room for chilly Winter evenings while bikes, beach chairs and coolers in the garage will make your stay at the beach carefree. Pool floats, tiki torches, a full bar and pool friendly drink ware are all stocked. You can also enjoy a beautiful dinner inside our out with every single thing you'll need in our kitchen.
We have seven surf boards and Stand Up Paddle boards, are near Village beaches and Town beaches and a 10 min bike ride to Settler's Landing for beautiful sunsets. Sag Harbor is a 10 min drive in one direction, Amagansett the same distance in the other direction. We ride our bikes and we drive into East Hampton Village where great restaurants, shopping, workouts, and picking up friends at the Jitney stop or train station take no time. WiFI, Roku and Amazon Echo are yours to enjoy and one bedroom is set up as an office but we've hosted family and used a high quality blow up mattress for my in-laws and they had plenty of room and were comfortable.
We've hosted eight for Christmas the last two years and many more than that for backyard barbecues and pool fun. The East End is quiet cozy in Winter. The ferry to the North Fork is close but there are two wonderful wineries here on the South Fork.

About Dorothy Johnson
I'm a writer, who just stepped away from a hectic corporate role last Summer, I met my husband 20 years ago when we worked in the WTC and we were married in Santorini almost 12 years ago. I grew up a Military brat, so living all around the world was my upbringing so the diversity of NYC and the beauty of the East End makes me feel at home. We are both active, athletic, bookworms who spoil our rescue dog who is 15 years old but thinks he is a puppy.
Dorothy Johnson purchased this House in 2015
Why Dorothy Johnson chose East Hampton
We purchased this home after more than 11 years of living in the Village of East Hampton and five in Southampton. We wanted to be close to Ditch Plains so that my husband could surf that break and near the Village, beaches, but tucked away in a quiet, private retreat. We enjoy the home year round but will be traveling more this year. I am a writer and my husband has a corporate role so biking, running, riding horses in Bridgehampton, and relaxing in our yard with our beloved dog and dear friends provide balance to the hustle of NYC.
What makes this House unique
Outdoor shower with hot water, fenced yard, two spacious living rooms, trees as far as the eyes can see in the back, a quick bike ride or car ride to the Village for shopping, eating, Jitney stops and trains back to the city, as well as sunsets at Settler's Landing await you in this corner of the Northwest Harbor/Northwest Woods/East Hampton. Pets are welcome, smokers are not.
