Great views on a budget
Simple cabin with all the basics. Great location for hiking. Cabin has great views and is private. Would stay again.
Cozy cabin on a beautiful piece of Earth
My boys and I stayed here and loved it. Lots of room to run around, amazing view, and so close to Dupont State Forest. The cottage is cozy and comfy. My boys would've requested wifi and more television channels, but they get enough of that at home. We had a blast.
Christmas at the Cabin
Beautiful spot and a lovely location. This location made the whole trip worth it!! Thank you for have such a gorgeous spot available for the holidays. My family will never forget about this cabin (:
Absolutely beautiful place to spend Thanksgiving with my boyfriend.
It's so close to Dupont and Pisgah! We rode bikes, watched the sun go down, cooked great food and worked on a puzzle. It is so peaceful. Watching the sun rise on the mountains while drinking coffee was just what we needed!
We greatly enjoyed our stay.
Beautiful view of the valley, and one morning looked like a lake of fog.
The place was very clean and does not deserve some of the negative comments I read.
Very close to the parking lot for High Falls, Hooker Falls , and Triple Falls. These were amazing.
The heater will melt your face off when running.
The only negatives are easy fixes:
Need a new coffee pot, or I suggest the guests bring their own.
The blender had not been pulled apart and cleaned. When I pulled the blades off there was funk and mold. Replace or guests bring their own.
The shower has mold behind the caulking. Easy fix.
Use a five in one tool, putty knife, or utility blade to remove the silicone caulk, bleach, dry and re-caulk. This happens because of air holes in the seal, water gets behind it and the mold forms.
Other than that, I forsee myself coming back. I also got my cleaning deposit back as promised.
Thanks to all for a great stay.
Valley View is located as close to the Dupont Forest as any other accommodation in the area, yet convenient to all the other attractions Transylvania and Henderson County offers. Brevard and Hendersonville is less than 15 minutes away, as well as other parks, such as the Pisgah National Forest.
